My daughter was very specific in the color of bike she wanted, and when we saw this bike we knew this was it. The pink and purple colors look really nice together and a nice contrast to the basic black. Schwinn is a great brand and it is associated with good quality and we found it didn’t dissapoint. Our whole family has Schwinn bikes so we always end up with this brand. The bike has an easy grip, as well as easy braking capability and kick stand for easy use. The oversized based in something my daughter loved, she was able to keep her water bottle, sunglasses and some other bits and bobs in there. The height can be adjusted and I think she will be able to use it at least for a few years to come.

Great bike thought husband was going to throw it at the wall trying to get the breaks right but turned out in the end 😆

The instructions could be a little bit clearer especially the handle bars connections to the bicycle.
The fact that it also doesn’t have a stand bar makes it difficult for a child to park the bike herself. Worth noting, it also doesn’t come with lights. Parts of the bicycle started coming off, the basket, and reflectors, while the child was riding. This is not up to a month. Note, these pictures were taken shortly after coupling.

We got this for my 7 year old and she really loved it. It’s classic Schwinn quality is definitely there. We will be able to keep this for many years and use for the next daughter when she’s big enough. Definitely worth the purchase. The basket on the front is a little loose, we secured it with some zip ties.

Exactly what we were looking for! We got this for our 7 year old daughter for Christmas. She really wanted a teal colored bike and this really fit the bill perfectly. We saw others and had her sit on and try lots of other style bikes to make sure we would get one she’d be confident and comfortable riding. She’s still getting comfortable riding bikes without training wheels (we live in a rural area where there’s a lot of dirt and the only place she can ride is in the street which makes it difficult for me to keep an eye on her all the time). Anyway, so I believe she still needs the foot breaks until she transitions to a hand break only bike. This was the only bike I could find that was all the things we needed, right color, and it has the hand and foot breaks. We found that the BMX style bikes were uncomfortable for her because you have to lean farther forward on them to reach the handles. This one gives you a more upright posture while riding and has a more cushioned seat than the BMX style bikes that we tried. Obviously she hasn’t been able to ride it much but roll it around the house a bit because it’s winter time and there’s a lot of snow outside, but it looks like a very well made and sturdy bike that I expect to last for many years. She loves it, and I love it. My husband put it together in maybe 20 minutes or less. Definitely recommend. The price tag was a bit more than I wanted to spend on a bike, but for the quality and it having everything we were looking for, it was definitely worth it. Shipping was fast, no complaints.

This 20in kids bike is great for those growing kids. Overall the color and graphics are very nice. You do need to supply your own tools to put this together though. It was fairly straight forward to put together and the included instructions helped me tighten up the breaks. I do think there are some issues with quality control as the pedal mounts came slightly bent in. It doesn’t affect being able to ride the bike, but it is noticeable. Also, one of the bolts that secure the tire came dented in. The cap that normally covers that bolt during shipping was not on there. I think the cost is a little high as well, but my kids like that bike so I guess that’s all that matters.

I bought this for my grandsons 8th birthday and he LOVES it! The seat is adjustable and so are the handlebars a bit.

Bought this for my son as a birthday gift (turning 8) as he outgrew his previous Schwinn. Excellent bike, he loves it! Comes with kickstand, comfortable seat, two hand brakes and it’s fairly lightweight. I thought he might have a bit of trouble switching from a 16″ to a 20″ but the transition was seamless, he says it’s easy to ride and handles well. He loves the colours, it’s a nice looking bike. We will be sticking with Schwinn!

The bike is really nice, and packaged well. I was surprised that UPS delivered the box in such good condition (only one small break in the box. Unfortunately, the bike I received was defective. The front fork (which holds the front wheel) was manufactured bent. It definitely does not seem to have been bent during shipping, since something like that would more likely happen somewhere in the middle to the end of the fork….and again, the shipping box looked great. Instead, as far as I can tell it was welded crookedly at the base, so that the end of the left fork (where the front wheel bolts on) was significantly closer to the center line of the frame, than the right fork. I’m trying to imagine how that could’ve made it through the quality control part of the manufacturing process…and I’m struggling! At any rate, parents who bought this bike, please take a close look at the fork alignment. Stand in front of the bike, straighten out the front wheel so that it is directly inline with the frame of the bike, and see if the bike looks “crooked” when observing the fork and looking down the center line of the frame. Incidentally, the fork on our bike was so far out of whack that the reason that I detected it was that I was having an unusual amount of trouble aligning the front wheel (which doesn’t really need much alignment because of the hooked washer that’s meant to make it easy to install). So, the refund request is in and it’s going to UPS tomorrow! (FYI, beautiful bike. If you buy it or already bought it, just check what I suggest you check herein since it’s not worth the risk for your kid’s safety…and the manufacturer is clearly not inspecting every bike that leaves the factory). (Updated): I had to update this review because I forgot to mention in my original review that the hub in the front and rear wheels made a grinding noise! As if the bearings were already worn. I recalled this as I am still looking to buy a bike for my kid, and was reading the reviews here again, which reminded me of the wheel bearing issues that I had detected. I’m very, very concerned about the quality of this bike. I suggest reading all of the 1 and 2 star reviews here to get an idea of what issues to look out for if you purchase this brand.

I was a little skeptical at first given a few of the reviews, but was thoroughly impressed. A lot easier to put together than had been described, would just recommend buying a ratchet set (check out Maxpower 11-piece 3/8″) which is a great tool to own. Handle bars are a little stiff at the onset, but can oil or really takes about 2 days of use to normalize. Very stable, saw some complaints about weight and yes, while it’s heavy compared to a Tour de France bike (except maybe the secretly motorized ones), it’s relatively inline with most other kids bikes. Overall, I think it’s a great bike, easy to assemble and very good value for the price paid.
