BLACKBEARY –
Amazon kept sending me the wrong item.
I have bought it from Bunnings and have used it on fabric, it works great .

It’s not my primary paint masking tape, but I’ll definitely call upon this when it’s a delicate or freshly painted surface. I’ve never once had this tape cause damage. And I’ll use it for other purposes, too, where I need a lightweight tape without worrying about damage or tape residue. I’ve left this stuff adhered for months without issue. About the only thing it’ll really stick to and damage in my experience is paper. Doesn’t stick particularly well to rough surfaces.
Had to order it from Amazon as Home Depot doesn’t carry it anymore. I’m surprised by that. It’s a really good tape. Expensive, but amazingly good.

Great product, keep ordering it

This is high-quality tape and great for painting or marking items in your home.
I do wish I had ordered a wider tape than this version but loved it anyway.
If you leave it on for a very long time even this more sensitive product will adhere to things like hardwood floors so remove it promptly. It does come off easily after a day or a week, but not after a month.
I find this product and gorilla tape better than the other painters tapes that I have used. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat.

Please note this is NOT the intended use of the product.
A month or two ago, while driving down the toll road, I noticed that part of my bumper was all a flutter. I pulled over, got out, and realized I could not get it back into the correct spot to lock in and stay. (There’s a reason my car model was discontinued, I also realized) I stood several yards from cars going 75+ mph, wondering what on EARTH I had in this car that I could use. Rifling through my purse, stumbled upon this tape – decidedly not the color of my car, it’s bumper, or any other parts. I’d bought it to tape the edges of my cross stitch fabric (more on that later), but I figured hey, why not, right? I only had a 5 minute drive to get home. I taped the bumper in place with several feet of this tape, and drove home. That bumper did not budge! And it didn’t peel the paint off my car! 10/10, although legally I probably shouldn’t recommend you use it for that purpose. MacGyver would be proud, though.
However, it does NOT want to stick to cross stitch fabric (again, not its intended use, but I figured fabric was about as delicate as surface as it would get). Even after ironing it onto the edges on a low heat, it still peeled. So, stickiness questionable; sturdiness, excellent. Maybe layer it with regular blue painters tape for best results.

Worked well when applied to my car paint and gloss black trim. Didn’t leave a residue after removing.

What I love about this tape is that it’s translucent and I can see the thickness of the border that I’m leaving on my paper really easily and ensure the border is uniform. What is problematic is that is has peeled the fibres off the paper but just a bit – that’s easy to mitigate by sticking the tape on your clothing and removing some of its stickiness. The translucence of the tape and the accuracy with which I can tape a border far out weigh the stickiness.

Love this tape for masking off areas of my screen image when printing. It doesn’t pull off any emulsion through numerous runs. Definitely worth not having to expose the screen again.

Used them to create monster truck garage area in the play area for kids. It’s solid, keeps in place.

I originally bought this tape to spray paint a pair of shoes for a Halloween costume, and it did a good enough job for the task. Now that I’m painting my apartment however, I’m having some issues with it.
Annoyance #1) it’s very thin, so longer strips usually curl and stick together when taking pieces off of the roll.
Annoyance #2) paint occasionally bleeds through under the tape, especially on parts of drywall where the corners and edges aren’t 100% flat and perfect. This made my goal of getting really clean lines nearly impossible (I found a tip to seal the edge with a little caulk before painting, but I don’t have any). I later bought a roll of yellow Frogtape Delicate and it performs MUCH better.
Annoyance #3) since it’s thin, it sometimes tears when removing if there’s dried paint on it, leaving razor thin strips of purple tape behind. Frogtape hasn’t done this yet (another tip: score the paint/tape line with a razor before removal, or don’t let thick layers of paint dry too much before removing tape)
Annoyance #4) it sometimes does remove a little bit of paint when removing, despite being made for delicate surfaces. Not a lot, but enough for me to proceed very carefully out of concern that I’ll need to go back and do more touch-ups (yet another tip: learn & practice how to paint cut-ins without using tape, lol)
So there you go–I’m no painter or carpenter, or even a hardcore crafting type. I’ll probably have to paint my place again before I move out. If I do, yellow Frogtape is my new brand for that and all future paint jobs (unless I master freehand cutting before then).

If I knew THEN what I know NOW, I’d have used THIS TAPE and not what I had on hand. Well, I decided to paint the ceilings in the house. BUT, I didn’t have this “special SCOTCH tape”. The blue tape in the photo worked OK but tore off a lot of the wall paint when I peeled it off after completing painting the ceiling. SO, I had to repaint the wall if many areas close to the ceiling. Buy this SCOTCH delicate surfaces tape and do it right the FIRST TIME! Ha-Ha!

As stated in the product description, this tape is made for delicate surfaces. It is not as strong as the blue tape so don’t expect it to have the same hold. It has a lighter grip and peels off easily. I purchased it to use on painted walls but also found it useful to label bins. Because of the lighter color, it’s handy to write the bin contents with black marker on a piece of tape and stick it on the bin. It seems to be a bit high priced but it’s useful and I would buy it again.
