This is a really useful tape that is much easier to manipulate, for me, anyway, than standard packing tape. Standard tape is really thin, always seems to get stuck in a tape gun or end up sticking to itself. At least when I use standard tape.
This tape is much thicker, easier to apply, hardly any klutzy moments with the tape getting tangled or sticking to itself. It is more expensive, though, so if you have tons of boxes to seal, you might want to stick with the standard tape. But for me, less frustration makes up for the expense.

I will only buy scotch brand packing tape. I’ve tried other brands and no – name brands and they never worked out for me. I ship packages often and need tape that will withstand shipping. Never had a problem with scotch. The dispenser is handy but if you aren’t careful, the tape will end up coming off the guiderail and then you’ll fuss with it to find the edge and peel it up again. I end up folding over a tiny corner after I use it just in case that happens.
