What’s For Dinner Susan –
I first ordered this shelving unit in November 2020 (for $43) and it has held up well into today and shows no signs of slowing down! Assembly took minutes and was little problem since the rods and shelves are not too heavy and I used an actual mallet to tighten the shelves. I keep it about half a foot from my furnace and use it to hold cleaning, car, laundry and packing supplies and it has neither bowed, bent, sagged, melted nor shown any other signs of damage throughout the years. Since it resides in the laundry room I just dust it once a month, but because the metal is sleek and shiny it should be easy to deep clean. For a convenient storage solution that can fit in tight spots, this is a great start. Overall the “Seville Classics 4-Tier Steel Wire Shelving with Wheels, 30″ W x 14″ D x 48″ H, Chrome” gets a respectable 4/5 stars!

Update: I bought 2 of these back in 2016 as basement storage. They’ve been in the same place I originally put them, and they still look brand new.
They hold a lot of stuff, both on the shelves (including 18-gal storage tubs) and hanging off of the wire surfaces. I got some S hooks in different sizes, and I have things hanging from inside the shelves, on the 14” ends, and I use the tops of the corner poles for a bag of clothespins, some light seasonal items in drawstring pouches, and as temporary hangers for whatever, when needed.
They’ve held up spectacularly in an unfinished basement area all these years. I’m generally not a big “wire rack” kinda person, but I wanted something that would do well in a space that experiences more temperature and moisture fluctuations than other parts of the house. These shelves have proven themselves over the past 8yrs to be both versatile and quality pieces.
Side notes:
I still don’t mind that the shelves don’t come with shelf liners. I wouldn’t have used them, and it’s easy and cheap to make or buy some if I did.
I also still haven’t used the wheels, and probably never will at this point 🤷🏻♀️
2016:
I bought two shelves to use as storage in an unfinished basement. They arrived in perfect condition and were easy to assemble.
They’re currently holding a bunch of tools and household maintenance items like air filters, boxes of light bulbs, spare parts, etc. as well as several 18 gallon Sterilite tubs*☟and some boxes full of holiday decor. I have the shelves along a wall (about 4” away from it), so I can slide the tubs in a little bit deeper to further reduce the little bit of the tote lid edges that stick out in front. (see below for storage tub dimensions to get an idea of how they fit in the shelves)
All in all, I’m pretty happy with these. They’re sturdy and seem like they’ll last. I have two final comments— both on things I don’t use with these shelves. 1) I’m not using the wheels, so I can’t comment on those apart from confirming that they’re very easy to put on by self-screwing into the base of each corner post. 2) These shelves don’t come with shelf liners, but I don’t plan on using any, so that’s fine with me. Just mentioning that to confirm that there are no liners included. 👍🏼 Okay, now go buy it!

I use this shelf on the other side of my refrigerator for storage. It is a skinny shelf that fits in snug areas and smaller kitchens. I use it for the storage of my small kitchen appliances such as a griddle, toaster, air fryer and more. The shelf was easy to assemble, move, and is affordable. I am contemplating purchasing another!

I purchased two of these for mobile storage in a school, and found them to be excellent. We use them for electronics, LEGO sets, and craft supplies, and they’ve functioned very well.
They were very easy and quick to put together. It took me 10 minutes to put two of these units together, and I am definitely not a handy person. No tools were needed – everything just screws and snaps together.
The racks are sturdy when following the manufacturer’s weight limits. They roll easy and don’t tip when rolled across a smooth floor. Our students are older so the risk of having kids climb them is extremely unlikely, but the wheels can be removed and the shelves can be tethered to a wall if used in a place with little ones who might be tempted to climb.
They roll easily across smooth flooring and very low-pile carpet. The wheels provided work just fine, but I would consider putting sturdier casters on these if units are moved around a lot and/or carry weight at the upper end of the manufacturer’s suggested limits. The racks are strong, and casters may make this unit even stronger, especially if used on uneven flooring or over floor breaches, such as elevators, etc.
Overall, a very good product for the price. We’re really pleased with these and will purchase more when they are needed.

Omg its such a nice shelf! Very sturdy easy to assemble just took about 15 minutes to put together if that it’s nice and strong like the flimsy ones, I’ve seen before very roomy and holding my appliances nicely. I opted not to put my microwave on it because now I have counter space for it and since it’s a convection oven and fryer, I didn’t want to take the chance of it getting ruined when using the convection or the fryer or my food getting ruined but it’s a perfect addition if you don’t have enough cabinet space and need someplace to put your food your appliances or just junk. It’s a definite yes oh forgot to mention instructions are easy , an idiot proof. forgot to mention it comes with a warranty that will replace any damage parts for I believe it would said two years. Hopefully I won’t need them since I just got it but it’s a definite if you don’t have cabinet space and you need extra storage or even to put in the closet and you can even space the shelves anywhere you want at any time they’re really easy to move around. Doesn’t wobble holds so much and actually looks very nice and great quality!
Had to add i ordered the gorilla grip shelf liners and Omg make such a great difference now the shelves look complete and nothing can fall through they fit perfectly and cleaning so easy. Just the finishing touch it needed!

Finally, a product I am happy to review so others can make a good choice for their needs.
I received the black-finish, 5 tier shelves a couple of days ago, to set it up in my garage work area. The shelves and pole are well-manufactured, no apparent flaws or bad welds, hardware complete with 2 extra plastic clips (easy to lose and perhaps the only breakable part in the whole kit under normal use). Assembly was easy, once I figured out the legs are tops in one package, bottoms in the other!—I initially screwed the bottoms together then was puzzled when the tops did not fit to each other… Stupid on my part. But the instructions are minimal, only diagrams, so a mistake others might repeat.
What I like about it is it is easy to assemble and then disassemble when I move elsewhere, no tools needed, except perhaps a dead blow mallet to get the shelves loose from the plastic clips on the poles when they have had weight on them. Also, it is easy to adjust shelf height in the same way.
With the shelves loaded with tools and wood, they feel sturdy, nothing loose, and very solid for their very light-weight design.
I like it enough to buy another today! And perhaps a workbench from the same manufacturer in the future.
