I got this crankset to resurrect an old Specialized Crossroads hybrid bike that had been ridden into the ground and junked by it’s previous owner and that I wanted to fix up to carry my 8-month old around on. The pedals shown do not come with this. They’re from the old crankset. This new crankset is just drop-in, really. No issues. The chain moves from chainwheel to chainwheel much faster than on any other bike I’ve had (must be the geometry that Shimano cuts into these new chainwheels to allow this to happen. It looks weird, like a manufacturing defect, but it isn’t!). Anyway, totally satisfied.

This is a good crank to upgrade an old mountain bike and also to improve a hybrid that is goi9ng to be used
by someone who needs the lower gearing this crank offers yet has a wide gear range to be useful for many people.
This crank is built to last a lifetime and is easy to install if you have the appropriate tools.

Installed in minutes. Got my mountain bike back on the road. Good crank set for the price.
Michelle O’Hara –
I bought this crank to replace a TY30 one. I installed it to spec with a new bottom bracket. Went for my first ride a month later, and the left side kept coming undone. I went and looked at the bottom bracket, and the bracket is fine, tighten it up and drove again. Another mile down the road came off again. Where it connects to the bottom bracket its damaged. Super cheap material. I dont have the box anymore or i would return it.

Parts matched right up to my bottom bracket easy installation but you will probably need a crank puller

appears to be good quality – easy to install with right tools

Item fits for bike bought from Amazon (Vilano brand from Amazon). My son installed the crank set for his bike even though the crank set from his bike looks different from Shimano Tourney Mountain crank set and he says it fits and works very well.
