I run normal mountain bike tires converted to tubeless, and sometimes will get a cut in the tire which is too big for the sealant to fix. In that case, these patches do wonders. I’ve cut down the larger ones to work on the edge of the sidewall (pinch flatted the tire from a rim strike) and used a smaller one to patch a small sidewall cut. I even managed to patch a 1″ long gash in the tread of a brand-new tire. While the patch held, there was just too much to the gash, and the gash was opening up and I wound up having to chuck the tire. Oh well, bad luck.
So there’s a limit as to what these can fix, but for most purposes that wouldn’t render the tire trashed anyway, these are great. Just remember that like any tire patch kit, the glue will dry out, so don’t stock up. Order as needed.

It is a great basic repair kit worth the price for sure and works very well as expected. I advise it for all

Used this to repair a torn sidewall on a tubeless mountain bike tire. Just cleaned and roughed up a small area inside the tire around the tear and allowed glue to dry overnight. The radial threads in the patch hold the tear together as well as not allow air presdure to push the patch back through the tire.

Use it once everything hunky-dory.
Put it in your tool kit, go to use it next year and the goop tube is all dried out buy another kit, repeat.

I haven’t had to use these patches yet and I would be very happy if I never do. With that being said, There is no price that you can put on peace of mind. I also purchased a tire plug kit, 3 tire spoons and a small compressor. I watched a R1200GS video that showed how to use a strap to lash the front wheel to the center stand so I also have a ratchet strap that I carry with me. With that safety in mind, he took the wheel off and repaired the tire where a tire plug won’t work. (a tire plug will only work and hold where the steel belts are and there are no steel belts in the sidewall). In extreme conditions, this is probably just a way to limp to get help because patches don’t work real well on sidewalls either. Again it’s just peace of mind.

Used to patch tubeless mountain bike tires from the inside — hopefully for the life of the tire.
A bacon strip or Stans Dart or other on-the-trail patch seems to only last a while before it gets ripped out. Back home I ripped the bacon strip out and put these on from the inside of the tire. These are sturdy, big patches that don’t squeeze out thru a 1/4″ slice. I basically rubbed the sealant film off the area, cleaned it with a bit of isopropyl, scuffed it and glued it on. Give the glue 30 seconds to dry a bit or blow on it before applying the patch.
Used on 2 tires that were sliced young with lots of wear still left on them, and so far so good. Good tires are expensive, and if these give me even a bit more out of the tires they will have paid for themselves many times. Look for these at your local hardware store.

Followed instructions. Patches are cushioned and the adhesive on the patch bonds really well and “ becomes one” with the rubber cemented area of the tire. Rubber cement (which I applied thoroughly yet sparingly) dried quickly, almost upon contact with the tire. Used on two small punctures on a wheelbarrow tire tube.
