I’ve read this one more times than any other book! It holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the first sapphic books I read when I started getting into reading, and the story just spoke to me. I could relate to both Ruby and Morgan (in my youth, of course, lol). Their struggles, their passions, their angst… it was familiar.
Now Ruby and Morgan are obviously extremely different, but I love stories where they just couldn’t deny the attraction. They had a lot going against them, and nothing was easy for them, but they were both tough and resilient. I truly enjoyed their journey.

This kind of book is new to me and it is interesting to see a different kind of conflict. That was the intriguing part for me because it is not just ordinary but complex. It is something that heterosexuals like me will never really understand. As an open-minded person, I caught up to that life/romantic barrier and appreciated the change. While I have big pet peeves about love at first sight and fast-paced relationship. Those two never click right with me. Still, I think it is fun to read something like this while it isn’t necessarily a perfect book.
