The only thing I like about this product is it plays my 3d disc’s.
Cons: it’s made very flimsy fells like if you accidently drop it or it gets hit at all it will break.
The region control is very weird to adjust the region it says you have to open the tray and push the color buttons to change regions. It won’t change the region just by inserting the disc so it is manually done with is confusing.
All the apps are out dated and I don’t see anyway to get recently released apps.
It has Netflix ,Amazon, vudu and those are the only video streaming apps it has.
Just like it says in other reviews it locks up at times and you have to unplug it and plug it back in for it to restart.

Worked perfectly from the moment it was installed (I’ve waited a while before witting this review. DVDs do not need any settings to play other regions. Blu Ray has three options for the different regions and very easy to set (one button for each option). I’ve tested with UK and Japanese only Blu Rays and no problem at all. IT is a SONY, so picture quality is not an issue. It is not the most recent SONY model, but I was okay with that. It is not cheap, but one pays for the freedom of buying any region Blu Ray/DVD and watch. Highly recommended.

Works as promised, good purchase !

The all region feature works great and it plays Blu Rays fine and upscales Blu Rays to almost 4K quality. The only reason I note this is because some people think it is also a 4K player but it is not but your regular Blu Rays will look cool on this and the region feature is the only reason I got this so my needs are met.

This blu-ray works! I tried British noir for Region B, worked great. I tried a new British movie region B, worked great. It even told me after I inserted the disk that I had chosen the wrong region. I knew my disks were not region-free and not United States region A, but I couldn’t remember what region my noir disk was. Picture and sound were great too. I tested blu-ray movie 1776 region A and the sound and picture were excellent. I had to send an LG player back to Amazon that was supposed to be modified and wasn’t and was missing all the extras too, instructions, cable, adaptor, so pretty happy to have what I wanted at last.

You have to follow the special instructions to put the player in different region modes. It does not appear to be a well integrated feature, but rather seems more of an aftermarket add-on. But it does work.

This is exactly what I was looking for! It plays foreign & US DVDs seamlessly without any additional setup/fussing. It also has streaming capabilities. Very impressed & pleased.

I’ve accidentally purchased some British DVD’s over the years which weren’t supported on my regular US made DVD player, but I really wanted the DVDs, so I didn’t send them back. I figured ‘some day’ I’d buy an ‘all region’ DVD player. Well I finally did, and boy is it easy to operate! Plug it into the TV and go (comes with it’s own HDMI cord). I was able to play all of the DVD’s I’ve been collecting and I didn’t have to do anything but put them in the DVD player and start it up like any other DVD player. I’m very happy.
