This is the coolest home speaker theatre in a box type solution that I’ve seen to date. We didn’t have a lot of room in our living room for an audio system. We also don’t have any wiring for surround sound so I wanted to go with a wireless option. First off, I highly recommend also buying the SW5 sub-woofer for these. You really need that low end to round out the sound. Setup was super simple, I just plugged everything in including the sub then attached the little controller box that comes with these to the tv via the HDMI ARC port and powered it on. All of the speakers including the sub connected automatically which was great. While I was testing these I noticed speakers occasionally losing their connection and dropping out like some people have mentioned in other reviews. There was a little note that came with the speakers which mentioned going to Speaker Settings -> Wireless Speaker Settings -> Wireless Playback Quality and changing from “Sound Quality” to “Connection”. After doing that I had no drop-offs at all and the quality of the sound wasn’t reduced by any noticeable degree, it still sounds amazing. I also found that I had to reposition a couple of the speakers by a few inches to improve their reception, but other than that it all worked great. Once you have the speakers positioned the way you want them you just run through the automated sound calibration (make sure the room is quiet while doing this) and then you’re ready to go. The phantom center speaker does work suprisingly well, however I’ve been using my 77″ Sony A80J TV as the center speaker. If you’re looking for the absolute best out of the box home audio experience for your tv and you’re willing to spend the money I highly recommend these.

Upgraded from Samsung q950T which were amazing in their own right. These are noticeably better. Zero dropout, amazing atmos sound effects and wide sound stage. If you have a smaller room, you could easily get away without a sub. I did buy the sw3 and it completed the environment though.

Sony es mi marca de electrónicos de confianza buena calidad en sus productos estás bocinas son buen complemento para una pantalla solo le falta un buen sub goofer para que realse
más el sonido
Mertol –
I had a lot of random drop out issues to a point where using it became more of a problem.
Now I changed the locations a bit and it seems to be better, no dropping so far.

Convenient wireless surround sound that is easy to setup and has special setup if you are connecting to a Sony Bravia XR system. Fairly easy setup, price does not include a subwoofer but manageable. Just follow the setup on screen and you will have a great sounding system in less than 1 hour.
Amazon Customer –
I was very skeptical on this system but I didn’t want to run wires or deal with charging wireless speakers.
I had outlets right where the speaker would be placed so that already was worked out.
Setup:
Easy peasy they setup themselves practically
And linked right away.
Ran the calibration and boom welcome to spatial sound
Speakers:
Well constructed I don’t mind the color tho some may wish it came in black. They all syncd with no issue. Also I have not experienced any drop outs.
Keep in mind having a wireless router near these can cause issues I’d suggest moving it out of the area to another room.
Sound:
I have to say these thing do as advertised.
Sony has always been a top tier brand and this is a reminder why.
This witchcraft of audio is truly revolutionary.
Now with that said no it’s not going to be as loud as a home theatre but if you dont want to run wires and deal with that nonsense this is for you.
I’ve never had to go above 50 it’s plenty loud.
As far as configuration my room is odd and have the tv in the corner so the speakers are also at corners and let me tell you it still does the spatial and atmos thing beautifully.
I will advise you should get the subwoofer I opted for the sw5 and it shakes the house amazing .
Highs and mids are covered very well.
Streaming:
You can stream to the device (hta9)
With Spotify or Amazon music sounds awesome
Especially if you do some spatial sound music
Listening to music is def an experience with the “special effects”
Cost:
This is expensive yes I got this during a sale subwoofer and hta9 for 1800 which wasn’t bad in hindsight for how the system sounds.
Is it worth it over a sound bar. Yes!
I’d pick this system over any soundbar.
Cons:
Pass through of vrr is not supported yet
Not really a deal breaker as I would only use arc connection and have hdmi straight to the tv.
Overall:
Very nice top quality home theatre system.
Atmos and spatial sound are awesome.
Get it and forget about the money

The speaker system is flat and unappealing without the big subwoofer which needs to be even bigger. Don’t waste money on the smaller 200w subwoofer and don’t buy the refurbished woofer. They link and setup very easy. Make sure the Sony TV has the EARC volume turned up 100%. Took a while to figure that out. The system would play Bluetooth music and DVD but no TV sound. The speakers cannot be to close 36” or more apart and not angled at close distances. The area above the speakers needs to be open and not in a corner or against a wall as it has to bounce the sound. It does sound like a larger system. It will not go extremely loud. It can get fairly loud, but if you want to hear and feel like you are next to a rocket launch or airplane takeoff I suggest a different system with a 1,000watts as the 300w subwoofer not included and the 7# speaker are not strong enough. If you like normal listening music and normal romantic movies or a thriller, this will work well. It has not astounded me but the system simplicity and ease of use works well. The power cord for the speakers are crazy short like 5 feet, I had to buy 10 footers right away to get to an outlet. Although wireless, there is a power cord hanging down the wall on each speaker unless you hide them some way. I suggest a speaker stand with a cable management system. The Bluetooth works really well and once setup, you can forget needing to touch it again. It turns on flawlessly with my Sony XR- 55A80J and adjust the sound with the TV remote. Recommend Sony everything (Blu-ray, DVD, Play Station, TV) so only one remote is needed and not 4 or five. Is it worth the expense, I would say not unless you can get it on sale. Do not get refurbished, we tried that and the product was broken and terrible, it appears all they do to refurbished is make sure it turns on (powers up). Best of luck to you.

Outstanding!
Occasional drop outs but soon rectified by switch the RF Channel On/Off and On again.
