Sony Noise Canceling Wireless Headphones With Microphone

First time I played music thru these headphones, I almost put it back in the box to return to Amazon. The sound was murky and muddy, not pleasant at all.

I spent a lot of time tinkering with the EQ to pull out the upper frequencies and give it a better bottom, and ultimately I have achieved a pretty nice sound from the headphones. I tested the headphones with On The Run by Pink Floyd (awesome for testing headphones) and it did prett welly . . . the stereo effects were well separated. There are moments in the song that just sizzle and I didn’t quite get that edginess, but overall the sound is decent, especially for inexpensive headphones.

Noise canceling works very well – I’m listening to Adele now while blissfully blocking out my wife’s gothic romance TV show LOL.

The headphones are very comfortable – not the decadent comfort you get with Bose headphones, but prety darn nice – and much cheaper. I took the headphones to the gym and spent a half hour on the treadmill with them – very comfortable. I don’t know how durable the ear pads will be long term, but for now they’re great.

I’m giving this 4 stars because the unequalized sound they provide is pretty awful. If you’re willing to devote the effort to equalize the sound significantly, you can get really nice sound from extremely comfortable headphones that block out external noise – at a good price.

Was given a free set of Beats Pro in a promotion and compared to those these Sony headphones are fantastic. Probably not much of a comparison but I cannot remeber the last time I picked up the beats now that I own these. Battery life and special 360 sound are really good but I am more of a wired application with the TV over the Bluetooth connection on the road. Very light and extremely comfortable.

I guess I should start out saying that these are my first ANC headphones, I’ve tried numerous others, just not noise canceling. these are SO GOOD. Super duper comfortable for a few hours at a time. I love the noise canceling, especially for noisy places. The battery life is great. Only have had to charge them up a few times with frequent use over a few months at this point. they seem durable, the sound has always been clear for calls and music and podcasts. No complaints here. Worth what I paid for them on sale for sure.

They sound good overall, the noise cancelation works for me, it’s better if u download the app to control the equalizer too, nice quality 🙂

I bought these because I can hear EVERYTHING going on in the neighbourhood through my windows (they’re super old), and was initially really impressed when the cat was meowing right in front of me and I could barely hear it.

What I’m finding though is that if I’m not facing the right direction in relation to the sound(s) I’m trying to block out, it doesn’t properly block it. Like I can 100% tell the difference because I’ll turn my head and all of a sudden it gets quieter. That’s kinda annoying, because I don’t want to have to chase the sound in order to not deal with it.

Also, the two device connection is a bit misleading. I thought it could play the sound of two devices at the same time, like be watching tv listening through the headset and also be on a call, also through the headset. Nope, turns out it just allows them both to be connected to the headphones, but only one can work at a time. Not the end of the world, but I wish I would have read into that a bit more.

Glad I got these on sale, because I think I would have been pretty disappointed had I paid full price. Even for the sale price, I was still expecting them to be better.

I will say this though – I like the shape of the ear cups. They are cut uniquely and properly and completely surround the ear without discomfort. But they are that pleather type material so expect to sweat if it’s even remotely warm out. Wish they had fabric on the cups like I saw elsewhere.

These are a good alternative to the better sony headphones and a fair price. The sound quality it’s pretty average compared to cheaper headphones. I’ve had these for a year or so and have had no issues, and I bought them second hand. The ear cups are a bit uncomfortable after a long period of time but are better than other brands. But they don’t fold up like other headphones. Overall, they are a good budget option but there are better cheaper headphones out there that are better.
