I have some Soundcore (Anker) headphones that are fantastic, so I had high hopes for this speaker, and I wasn’t disappointed! I like the fact it has rubber feet both on the back and side, so you can stand it up in different orientations, or hang it from the strap. It’s clear some thought has gone into it.
First up, the design is simple but pleasing.
Designed to be waterproof, and although I wouldn’t bring it in to the shower, I think it would be great at the beach or for listening to music in the bath.
Pairing is simple, and it plays a nice little chime when connected (which I always prefer to a voice saying “Connected”).
Sound quality is fantastic for such a small speaker. There’s good response right across the range from bass, through the mid tones and highs, it sounds clear and bright. But on the right piece of music and you can feel the bass pumping hard, without distoring any of the treble. The one thing you don’t get with a small speaker is stereo separation of course, but I think that’s not really a thing these days anyway.
Also worth knowing that this will connect to the Soundcore app which allows you to adjust EQ and do updates should they ever come, so I think that’s worth doing, although entirely optional.
Only other very minor niggle is the fact that it doesn’t have an aux / line in, so it’s Bluetooth only. But for the price, I still think this is phenomenal value.

Better go for jbl clip 5, I bought both and returned this speaker. Vocal clarity is better on jbl. But this is amazing too

Not many speakers in this price range have app support with EQ controls. That makes it a really good value. But honestly if you never even messed with the app EQ it sounds great out the box. Nice and full, warm and pleasant even at max volume it stays under control.
There are some other speakers in this same price range that sound a bit better that you can consider. The Lenrue A15 has some very vibrant RGB lights around the bass radiators, it sounds a bit bigger with a bit deeper and more bass / warmth to it along with a tiny bit more volume. It costs $20.
The Xdobo Try&Go Mood also has RGB lights, costs $26 currently, has quite a bit more bass and volume, it’s my favorite for under $30. They are both bigger than this Soundcore Select 4, so that could be a factor in choosing.

I’m an Anker Fan, I use their cables, power banks, and headphones, this speaker did not disappoint. It compact, well built, waterproof, and can be stood up on its side of flat on it back or hung via the strap. Impressive Battery Life, can be used with Soundcore App, and can be connected to multiple devices. I own an UE Wonderboom, which has no app and only 8 hours of power and cannot link to multiple devices, yet the Select 4 Go has more capabilities and is a fraction of the price. This is for personal listening, so if you’re looking to fill a room with massive sound this is not for you. But if you want something personal, compact, long battery life, well built, app capable, multiple device connectivity, then the Select 4 is for you.

For $25 this is a fantastic option for both sound and portability. It’s well built, lightweight, sounds clean, gets reasonably loud and has a really good amount of bass if you boost it using the Soundcore app eq. It really is impressive for being only 5 watts.

First, let me say I have several soundcore products and I have been thoroughly impressed with them. I even have older speakers branded Anker before they created the Soundcore offshoot brand. Most recently I have a Boom 2 and Boom 2 Plus.
Now, one can not expect this smaller sized speaker to hit as hard as the Boom w Plus or even the Boom 2 but for its size, it is impressive. It hits nice for music like rap, pop etc but can get a bit muddled on higher volumes playing heavy rock/metal. Nonetheless, for its size, I was stunned.
Definitely do yourself a favor and download the soundcore app with this and their other new speakers. With it, you can create custom EQs to suit your preferences and even grab ones others have created that they share online to try out for yourself. All in all, this is a fairly priced great small speaker that is hiking/travel friendly.

This speaker is made by Anker. Soundcore is a division of Anker just like eufy (Security cameras, robot vacuums, etc) is another division. I wanted to mention that because most people are familiar with Anker from their charging cables and batteries. They used to sell products like these under the name Anker Soundcore, but now they are just using the name Soundcore (Kind of like Apple does with their Beats line of audio products). I was curious what the quality of this speaker would be like given the low price of only $25. After using it for a few days, I am amazed. I will say that it’s not as good as my Marshall Willen speaker, which is about the same size. But that speaker costs at least 4 times as much as this one. For the price it’s amazing. Just considering the sound quality, I would expect this speaker to sell for $50-$60. Not only does it sound great, but it’s waterproof with an IP67 rating. If you pair 2 of these together, you can have true stereo sound. If you need a quality speaker for traveling or to take the beach, I highly recommend this new model from Soundcore.

I’ve used a few Anker soundcore speakers in the past, and continue to keep their soundcore 2 portable speaker in my bathroom, for when I’m in the bath! They make quality, reliable products, for a decent price. This one is no different. It’s tiny, so don’t expect premium hifi level sound. Once you push the volume too far, it begins to show its limitations. But for on-the-go casual listening of podcasts, music, white noise for sleep etc… It more than does the job. It’s heavier than I expected, but nothing my coat pocket can’t handle. Setup is simple, with the usual soundcore bluetooth connectivity, taking literal seconds to pair with the phone/computer. There’s an app to handle EQ curves, which is useful for podcasts and such, boosting the mid freqs for better clarity in the voices etc… For music, I just keep things at default, since this isn’t an audiophile level product, and I don’t expect it to be for the size/price.
Overall, a handy portable speake. Just don’t be obnoxious and play these on public transport, please!

I’ve come to expect certain things from Soundcore speakers and I have to say, this speaker is excellent and has several great features like AAC but lacking AptX. Likewise, you can connect up to 2 speakers but it lacks the Soundcore Partycast which typically allows you to connect up to 100 speakers together. I believe the paired down features is not a technical issue but rather that they are reserved for their higher priced feature speakers.
Having said that, this speaker is absolutely excellent and the price point is far better than many of their other speakers. The sound quality is fantastic, it has excellent bluetooth range at 30m (although, depending on walls / etc it certainly varies) and all in all it’s a waterproof speaker that is amazing to use on the go.

This is a really great little speaker. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it!
It really is pretty small, but it feels heavy and robust. It comes with a pretty short charging lead (USB-A to its native USB-C), which is inserted under a heavy flap to keep the speaker waterproof (not when being charged – obviously!) The lead itself is only about 30cm long. I like the strap this speaker has – very useful for attaching it to something, possibly via a carabiner (not supplied), if you’re taking it out.
I was really impressed by the sound this speaker produced. There’s plenty of base but it’s also clear with good treble too – I was worried that this might suffer from the waterproofing.
The controls are firm, but owing to space there aren’t dedicated forward/backward buttons so you have to press the play/pause button a number of times for those functions. You can also download an app for a phone/tablet to control this device. That then allows EQ to be set and an additional couple of functions. I didn’t try/test that.
What I did try was the waterproofing. As promised it floated happily on the water in the sink I had filled. I then pushed it under water for about 20 seconds and true-to-form it carried on playing. Having fished it back out I opened the charging flap and there was absolutely no sign of any water ingress.
This is a great speaker, especially useful if you enjoy your water sports – or even for dancing in the rain!

mine came yesterday after charging to 100 percent 5 minutes later kept making buzzing noise when music was paused and when music is playing buzzing noise plays with the music.

Many bluetooth speakers don’t sound good at all, mini or otherwise.
This unit from soundcore however packs a surprisngly good punch for both its cost and size.
What first struck me is the weight of this device. Not sure if thats because of battery or drivers, but either way its surprisingly hefty for its form factor.
Pairing is super simple, turn on > search for device > add device.
Re entering pairing mode is also super simple by pressing the BT button for around 2 seconds.
Minimal controls on the unit with some buttons performing double duty (press play/pause more than once for skip track etc, all detailed in the manual) which isnt surprising on account of size. Honestly I dont usually use those buttons anyway but some may lament this loss.
There is on 3.5mm input but again, I don’t expect this as most portable devices are phasing this out anyway (much to my chagrin but thats preference).
Charge port (USB-C thankfully) is covered by a nice rubber cover to stop the ingress of dirt, dust and water.
Sound out of the box is, pretty good but not quite to my taste. Fortunately the app allows easy creation of your own EQ and this benefits somewhat from a V shaped EQ profile and pulling the 2.5k frequency down a bit.
At volumes over around 60% (which is plenty loud enough) it does start to get kinda messy but for such small drivers I’m not surprised. This is for more personal listening distances, and not for filling a room.
The carry strap is quite sturdy paracord style and would be good for clipping onto a carabiner for hanging off your backpack or similar if camping / walking etc.
All round a pretty good unit and the main shortfalls can be solved easily with the included software for the most part.
It puts out sound equivilent to its size and is easily one of the better units in this price point and form factor!
