[BEWARE !! INSANELY STRONG SHOCK SIMULATION !! PLEASE CONSIDER CAREFULLY !! YT- 100]

Firstly, I would like say that it sure looks dam good and have amazing built quality.

However, AT LEVEL 1!! THE SHOCK IS WAY TOOOOO STRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s insane !! Deceptive advertising claiming suitable for dogs from 8 pounds. It will SEND THAT DOG FLYING !!

I’ve a 27 pounds French Bulldog, when I first tried it, he seems fine when I send a static shock for correction (little head tilt/confused look). I then thought it was fine at level 1 and went ahead with trimming the collar to fit him nicely. When I refitted and put on him. (Probably this time the two prongs has direct contact with him skin, “correct fit”). The next static simulation activated causes HIM JUMP AND YELP IN SHOCK !!!!!!! LET ME REMIND YOU GUYS AT LEVEL 1 !!!! LEVEL 1 !!!!

Of course I had to investigate, I tried it on myself (Wrist) IT WAS WAYY TOO STRONG, CAN’T IMAGINED IF IT WAS ON MY NECK ! PLEASE DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS PRODUCT IF YOUR DOG WEIGHT IS LESS THAN 50pounds or maybe even 100pounds.

I bought this product hopping to further enforce certain training that I had done with him previously with leash, hopping a leash free dog. NEVER DID I KNOW I BOUGHT A PUNISHING TOOL / TORTURE TOOL ! I’m extremely disappointed, all those false claims and verification. Seriously 8 pound dog can handle this? MADNESS !

THE DESIGN TEAM OF SPORTDOG, PLEASE KINDLY REVIEW THIS PRODUCT AS ITS JUST WAY TOOO STRONG EVEN AT LEVEL 1 ! THE DECEPTIVE ADVERTISEMENT TOO !! NEVER WILL IT BE SUITABLE FOR A DOG AT 8POUNDS AS ADVERTISED ! Let’s not talk about my experience with their customer service!

Since I’ve already shorten the collar, I guess I’m unable to return this product! Please consider carefully, it’s really strong, can’t imagine at level 8 what it would do to any dog. NEVER CONSIDER THE YT-100S I THINK THAT WILL SEND YOU FLYING TOO! Beware guys, peace.

The collar is like a leather material I like that so my dog doesn’t damage it by scratching it. I like this collar mostly because I’ve had a different brand and the remote was a digital screen and wouldn’t keep up with change the strength of the shock I’d send and would lock me out from doing any commands if I pushed the button to fast. This one is east it has a dial and doesn’t lock me out. I don’t have the collar on extremely tight I do a generous 2 or 3 fingers of space and I do low level shocks on my 6 month old lab shepard pitbull mix her only thing is getting at my cats because my cats are used to a bloodhound that they had made there B**** but somehow this dog just thinks they are playing. So far the collar worked wonderfully and all I have to do is put it on her and she is at my side and being a good dog or just a simple beep and she comes back to me

The media could not be loaded.

This w collar is the best thing I’ve ever purchase for my dog. EVER.

He is an 11 year old pitbull that has never had a good recall. He is the kind of dog that knows his commands, is obedient on leash, in our fenced yard, and obedient in the house. BUT the moment he can escape, he will! He has been this way since he was 3 months old. He will dart past, rush, and use any open door as an opportunity to run. He will run for miles and hours chasing squirrels, birds, cats, etc. and will quite literally ignore all attempts to recall.

Now that he’s a senior dog, these escapes happen much less often, and he will eventually give up after he’s being chased for a while. However, we are getting a new puppy and really didn’t want her to learn from his bad behaviors.

I researched for a few weeks before we decided on this brand. I figured if hunting dogs could be trained with this thing, so could my boy.

Y’all, I can’t believe what this collar has done to my dog!

    Here are the PROS:
-remote is easy to use and fits well into my hand
-having tone, static, and vibrate are great options and avoid unnecessary static corrections as he responds well to tone by itself. Most times I don’t even need to press the tone button.
-I use static levels 1-2, and he’s totally responsive.
-range is phenomenal. Can go from one end of a park to the other and have control over him.
-He no longer darts out the door.
-I can walk him on a leash without his prong collar.
-he can walk outside with me off leash and comes as soon as I say his name.
-he can be in the run with our chickens and doesn’t even flinch when they come near.
-on walks he is rarely, if ever distracted or interested in chasing ANYTHING
-As soon as I take the collar off of the charger in the mornings. He is at my feet wagging his tail and waiting for me to put it on. He’s a happier dog now that he has so much more freedom!

    Now for the Cons:

-despite following the collar adjustment guidelines, my boy developed sores on his neck. I would suggest checking regularly in case any develop. He was wearing his collar for long durations because I didn’t want him to escape and then not have the collar on to reinforce my training, thus destroying all of our progress. Once he became more reliable and trustworthy to respond to his recall, I now leave the collar extremely loose(so he can at least hear the tone), and adjust tighter when we go outdoors.
-both collar and remote have to be charged nightly, or you risk it not being fully charged. I made the mistake of skipping one night. It worked the next morning, but was dead that evening when I needed it to be working. I can miss a night here or there, but if we will be out all day(using the collar),I have to charge it in the morning to be safe. I would recommend charging as soon as you remove it.
-personally, the lanyard is uncomfortable hanging around my neck. I would much rather prefer there were a clip on the remote so that I can attach to my waistband.
-there are times that I press the tone button, and it’s delayed in relating the beep. I notice this more often if I skip a charge the night before.
-vibration doesn’t seem to have an affect on my dog as far as being a correction.
-using this device requires already having a dog who understands basic obedience commands. You can’t just strap it on and start using static and expecting your dog to be an angel.
*In the wrong hands, this collar can do more harm than good. It requires research and technique to properly train with e-collar*

Overall: research e collar training techniques, be patient, and enjoy. Highly recommend!!

Bought to help with off lead recall for my 1 year old, psychopath lab.

This is NOT a punishment tool!!! Your dog should NEVER see you holding the remote out in a threatening way!!!

I have been training dogs for years and know how to properly condition a dog for e collar training. Just follow the included instructions, consult with a dog trainer or consult using YouTube videos to properly train yourself in how this collar (and other E collars) should be used. Go ahead and put your fingers on the prongs to feel what it feels like. If you’re going to use it on your dog, you should know what they will feel! It’ll give you a bit more respect for your animal, too.

This collar works well, is constructed at the same level of quality as better brands I’ve used (costing twice this) and is easy to use. The dial is a bit difficult to turn one handed (maybe I had fingers that are too soft?!) so I end up holding the remote with one hand and turning the dial with the other.

My lab responds well to the vibration while training. She occasionally needs to be reminded that my vocal command needs to be respected, and I bump it to 1 on those occasions.

I have used this at the beach and it works when wet with no issues. Both collar and remote hold a long charge – I haven’t had to recharge at all and I’ve used intermittently for over a month.

I just wish it was able to connect to two collars so I could use for two dogs while training and playing off leash!

When I got my GSD she was 5 month old I started training her immediately she was smart caught on fast then after she turned 2 years old she started to ignore what I asked of her aka trying to chase cats and recall by the age of 4 years old thousands of dollars wasted on trainers 3 broken ribs and a broken wrist I bought this I was afraid of using an collar but I couldn’t handle getting hurt anymore and the choice rehoming was never gonna happen she is part of my pack and will always be with me with this collar the bell gets her attention on me I use vibration and tell her no when a bicycle goes by our house or while we are on a walk she won’t bark or pull on the leash now when she sees a feral cat she would loose her mind I press the bell to get her attention when she doesn’t calm down I pressed the vibration when she wouldn’t respond I used the shock button just once then I have her attention and redirect her away from the distraction this is a great collar and it has helped me reinforce what I am asking her to do

I always like having this to keep my dogs attention. They are not bad dogs but I live on a farm and sometimes they will like to not come back when I call them as they want to inspect everything. Who can really blame them, but sometimes I don’t have the time to stay out with them so this is very useful!
