I love it. What can I say. It made my bike super quiet no more chain sounds. Shift very nicely and easy to adjust.
    Zero problem so far..

42 tooth is definitely maxed. Cable attachment could be better. Works fine.

I broke my old SRAM NX Derailleur on a log and decided to upgrade a little for the replacement. The SRAM GX shifts so much more smoothly and accurately. The GX was a major improvement for the little added cost over the NX.

I was able to watch a few youtube videos and easily install and adjust the derailleur myself. I had never installed or adjusted a rear derailleur myself before and was surprised by how easy it was to do.

I bought this derailleur last July (2023) and had converted my 2×10 MTB to a 1×11. I bought a 34t 6mm offset x-sync2 chainring and 11-50t rear cassette, even though they claim it is for a max of 42t. It worked well until this July. It will not pull the chain off the 50t unless itโ€™s bouncing around, and shifting to high in all the gears is lagging. But shifting to low gear is still as crisp as the day I installed it. I have adjusted the B tension, check the hanger with a tool, checked chain stretch with a tool and all is ok. Iโ€™m assuming the spring in the derailleur is stretched due to running a 11-50t cassette. I do race so it is well used. I canโ€™t blame the derailleur failing on poor quality because Sram does spec it for a 42t max.
I will buy another one to replace this one. I plan on buying a new Scalpel next season to replace this bike and will either have the AXS transmission or standard AXS. My sons bike has AXS and I love it canโ€™t wait!

I’ve got 2 sets of this drivetrain–one came stock on a bike, and I purchased this when I built a carbon hardtail over a year ago. I’ve also got a SRAM NX 11 speed on another bike I built a few years ago. Both my GX drivetrains (including the derailleur) have always performed well so I absolutely recommend them. That said, the less expensive NX that I have has been fantastic. I have no idea what the price difference is currently, but if you’re not a weight-weenie and are unconcerned about saving a few grams in weight, the NX is a 5-Star Review from me too.

I’m so happy with this SRAM derailleur. I was kind of upset that I bought last years model of MTB that had the 2×10 drivetrain. I was told by the salesperson at the time I wouldn’t be able to change to a 1×10 drive, not true. Even better, not only did I retain the 2×10 drive system. The SRAM derailleur allowed me to add a 11x50t cassette and 2x upfront. So now I have new drive setup of MTB’s coming out and the bonus of a 22t granny gear! This combo does take some tinkering with though but the results are an amazing hill climber.

Robusto, preciso y fiable.

Less plastic than NX. Shifts better, quieter and better clutch. No need to get more expensive unless you want a lighter setup.
