Excellent grip and sturdiness, quite sharp, does not bend easily, did not rust in more than 2 years I have it. I am very satisfied.

The best of the best little jab sow. I have about 10 old versions of this product from all kinds of different makers and they are all going in the donation pile. This puppy is SHARP, cuts smooth and works like a bone saw ! I can see myself buying more of them just to have available for non-construction use. I would love to see a version that has a bit longer handle where the blade folds into itself. It would need a positive locking mechanism that was easy to use but that would better protect the blade from damage and fingers in the toolbox. They could call it the FatMax Jab Convertible 🙂 Nice job Stanley.

I don’t remember exactly what project I bought this saw for, but i’ve been using it quite a bit in my back yard! The teeth are great and it saws quickly. I have been trying to plant a lot lately and i have too many roots in my back yard from the previous owner. I just stick this saw in the ground (of course knowing there aren’t any pipes in the area!) and saw on through the pesky roots…I have used this saw more than my other hand saws for other odd projects as well. Comfortable and a great tool – even after using this saw on ALL KINDS of stuff, teeth are still running strong…

This is a pretty hardcore drywall saw – it works perfectly for drywall, cutting through it like warm butter, but it also does a passable job on harder materials, like wood. This is a tool I now always keep in my toolbox, and it’s great for when I don’t have a power saw on hand.

Great blade, very sharp, but no covering for it makes it awkward to carry from one job site to another.
Highly recommend the tool, but you might need to make some sort of cover to protect your other tools.

Worked well. Nice and sharp. Easy to pierce the drywall and nice and sharp to cut with.

Needed to cut 8 holes into the ceiling drywall over the garage to install some new electrical outlets for more lighting. Saw this product here on Amazon and read the other reviews and made the purchase. This saw worked great!! Stiff blade went right through the drywall with minimal effort and made my chore a lot easier. The stiff blade is easier to keep on the cut line as well as it doesn’t flex and “wander”. You could use this saw as a weapon if needed!!! Worked great for me.

I’ve never done anything that required cutting into my walls beyond hanging art and flat TV mounts. But I wanted to drop some wires from my newly-mounted TV in my new home, and so I needed to cut some holes. The drywall ended up being a full 1 inch thick (for some reason, someone a long time ago hung two layers of 1/2″ board), which I didn’t even know until the square hole was completely cut. But this little saw gave no indication of the extreme circumstances it was enduring. I helped the jabbing with a small drill bit at the corners, but otherwise, this thing powered through the thick, abrasive drywall quickly and cleanly (well, clean is a relative term when you’re sawing drywall).
I only cut holes for two outlets, and it certainly is sharp enough to cut many more. I’ll happily hang this saw in the tool shed for any future wall carving projects.

I liked how my product was delivered pretty quickly. But at closer examination the blades were scratched and looks as if it was used. The tip of the blade was sharp but it was as if someone used a sharpening tool to make the tip look as if it was brand new.
Jim L –
Good heft, sharp, easy to use. Cutting a curve was easy.
Solo Goodspeed –
I was creating a couple of openings for new electrical sockets in my home; I had started them by drilling smaller holes around the area I needed to saw out, and though I was using a fairly sharp drill bit, it was quite a task to drill all the way through the 2-layer, 1″ thick drywall I was up against. Enter Fat Max… and I mean that literally. That little sucker tore through that drywall like it was French bread, and I was done with both openings in less than five minutes, with much less effort than I expected it to be. This is my first experience using a saw like this, and its ease of use is already giving me more ideas for home improvement. My landlord will just have to deal with it…..

As my dad always said, when you need a tool, just buy the right one the first time. Then you have it every time you need it from then on. This jab saw is going to be a toolbox staple for years. used it to carve pumpkins this Halloween and will likely take it on camping trips to collect firewood in the future. It’s effective, feels solid, comfortable and easy to handle. And the right price too.

It doesn’t bend easily. That means it is easier to punch through the wall to get a hole started and isn’t going to go wobbly on you when you are trying to put some elbow grease on it. Here is the one watch-out: it is substantially thicker than a standard blade. Where that matters for one example is when you cut out a piece of drywall and want to use that same piece to patch the hole back up. The gaps between the cut piece and the whole it was cut from are large. You can still fill them in, but it is just something to be aware of.
