I was worried that this might not fit my rack after reading the review that said it’s odd sized. However, since receiving it, I’ve checked it in literally a dozen different racks, and I can say with certainty that it absolutely DOES fit. The cases / racks I’ve tried it in are built by: Middle Atlantic (steel and wood, stationary and mobile), Gator, Road Ready (shock mount and non shock), SKB, Raxxess (steel wall mount and steel roll-around), Paradise, Anvil (shock mount and non shock), and Calzone. It fit every rack tested, exactly as would be expected. So, as for the review that said it doesn’t fit a standard rack, either the rack in question is a homemade or some other oddball unit/size, the rails in the rack in question are improperly mounted, or the shelf itself has been bent out of shape. It certainly IS NOT the fault of the shelf that it won’t fit. If anything, my opinion is that this shelf is a bit overbuilt! For as small as it is, this thing is heavy! It’s made of much heaver than usual steel. This shelf is far heaver than my Middle Atlantic shelves. If you need a shallow rack shelf, BUY THIS ONE! It’s beefy as can be, and very well constructed.

it’s nice that it’s well-made and sturdy but it is extremely heavy and will sag no matter what you do. The mounting ears are incapable of fully supporting its weight. Since it’s already this heavy, imagine putting anything on it! This is quite dangerous esp if higher on your rack.
I imagine you could buy 2 of these and then slide a server onto both of them. Or maybe make sure there’s something sturdy in the U slot under this shelf to help support it.
A fully anodized stainless steel cabinet might do a bit better at preventing the sag and flex but I’d still steer clear of the 2U
1U is adequate, and for lighter stuff like a monitor or a bin of equipment, it’s working out well.

Sturdy rack shelf for light use. I sprayed plastic-dip on it and mounted it upside down pointing out. Made a very nice mouse platform.
The power strip looks nice and had rack screws & nuts too. Long power cord. The ears were where I needed them, but it looks like they can be moved to the back.

This is a solid steel shelf, that includes all the hardware, a plus for sure. Value wise, its a little on the pricey side for a shelf, but it is solid steel construction with no wobble.

Purchased two of these to use on a client install. Intended use was to hold audio/video equipment that couldn’t be rack-mounted (i.e. stereo receivers/amplifiers, dvd recorders, TV/Monitors, etc). Holes match up perfectly with the rack, and there was no problem supporting the weight of multiple pieces of equipment on each shelf.
The depth of the shelves is perfect. Placing a stereo receiver on one shelf, I was able to line up the front of the receiver with the front of the shelf/rack rails, and the back of the shelf extended several inches past the back of the receiver. No worries about anything falling off.
These are a good buy, and I’ll be buying more of them as I develop needs for them!

Great shelf, easy to install, came with hardware. Supports more weight than I anticipated. I used it to briefly support a Cisco switch while I moved the cage nuts to a new location. I’m using it as a keyboard tray that’s recessed into the cabinet.

1Uの片方固定の棚板なのでライトなものを想像してましたが、箱から出てきたのは”THE・工業製品”という感じのごっつい棚板でした、材質だけでなく加工と塗装も上等です
頑丈な棚板が欲しい方の期待を裏切らない製品でしょう

Almost sent it back due to the depth and my miscalculation of how much depth I’d have to work with, but then looked at my layout diagram and realized I had accommodated it, just 1U lower – lol. Mounts right up, screws, washers and cage nuts included. Seems more solid than my rack rails. I don;t have anything “heavy” sitting on it, just non-rack-mountable Ubiquiti items; 3p router, 8p POE switch, 1st gen cloudkey, but it’s solid enough I could probably put 50lbs on it and it’d not blink…my rails however probably would warp a bit.
