Sam Lowry –
These rifles are extremely poor quality. Shot groupings are poor and every couple of shots it shoots way off target. I thought it was me until, I verified it was the gun with a rifle bench. After a year it lost power and now shoots a foot low.

I really wanted to Love It. The box was obviously dropped and damaged in shipping. The front sight was busted. I repaired it. After multiple repeated attempts to sight it in it became apparent that the barrel was bent. I sadly and reluctantly returned it. I may get another but if its shipped it will need to be packaged 100x better to prevent damage. I loved the look and how quiet it was. It was a bit front heavy but was fun to shoot. I really would like to get a replacement.

Straight out of the box I was hitting paper targets with a 3” group at 50yrds.
Tweaked the iron sights and got the grouping down to 2”.
I will defiantly put a scope on this.
For small game, it has the knock down power out too 30yrds. after that is questionable for a clean shot.
Bisbee Case –
Pros: reasonable price, fairly powerful, okay accuracy. In hindsight I should have just ordered it with the scope rings but in the end, I had an old pair that worked after modifying them so no biggie. The plastic sights that come stock were nearly unusable for me – after several hours of futzing with them I ripped them off, put a scope on it and….more frustration = I cut the plastic forend off so I could use my cheap bore sight. 3 shots later I was in the 10 ring nearly every time. I live rural so the additional noise of the shot doesn’t matter to me, and their built-in suppression tech wasn’t that great anyway. Yeah, losing the additional length makes it slightly harder to cock, but not that big of a deal. I’ve gone away from using lead pellets and only shoot copper now – clean it every 50 rounds and it stays fairly accurate. Great plinking toy to teach the basics.

This air gun is built well from the looks and handling. It looks and feel like a real firearm with some bountiful weight and accuracy

I am really unhappy with the packaging for shipment. The Stoeger boxed weapon was shipped in a nice big box without any protective padding. When I opened the shipping box the product packaging was torn open and the muzzle of the weapon was hanging out due to the product banging around in the larger box during shipping. The three tabs that lock the product package closed were all torn to some degree and the Box showed signs of stress like the box was bent in the middle. See photos. The plastic bag wrapper got checkered from the weapon banging sideways in the box during shipping. Hard to tell if this is all shipping damage or if the weapon was sloppily removed and replaced for return shipping.
All the advertised parts were included and the weapon test fired well in spite of the poor packaging for shipment.
Five year manufacturer’s warranty so if it turns out to be damaged I will be better off dealing direct with Stoeger than returning to Amazon.
Thanx Amazon. Glad I’m a prime member or I would have had to pay extra for that.
Update: really nice weapon. Enjoying consistent 1/2 inch groups at 25 yards from a bench rest. At close to 8 pounds, 44 inches long, and requiring some muscle to cock this is not a youth gun unless your making your child do Canadian Air Force exercises. This will be my post apocalypse go to weapon after the bullets run out.

I am amazed how accurate this rifle is. I have placed 10 shots in a 2-inch bullseye. This is my second Stoeger S4000-E that I have bought.

Initial break barrel was a challenge and needed site adjusted but all good now. Swapped the stock grips with provided alternate set. Quiet, accurate, powerful, easy to use rifle. Pest control has been taken to the next level.
