I’m a long time Jira user and I was very excited to read this book. I never used Trello before and I started using while following along with this book. I am very impressed how well Brittany wrote this book. Given that prior to reading this book, I had never used Trello before, I feel that I’m ready to be much more productive. I always knew that Trello was much easier to learn and enjoy when compared to Jira, but reading this book and following the example has really shown me how great Trello can really be.
The book is written in an engaging and easy-to-follow manner, making it suitable for both beginners and those familiar with Trello. It starts with the basics, guiding you through setting up your first boards and lists. But what really impressed me were the advanced tips and strategies shared later in the book.
One part that I really liked were all the different examples and uses Brittany presented this in this book. I’m not a very creative person and I learned how you can use Trello for so many different uses. I knew there were many technical applications, but I was surprised to learn how you can use Trello for pretty much anything in your life! Trello really is the ultimate digital whiteboard!
If you are looking for a book on Trello that is going to cover the A->Z, then this is the right book for you. When you finish this book, you’ll feel less like a novice and more like a Trello fan!

My Atlassian journey started with Jira, not Trello. It wasn’t until I needed something to keep track of my book project that I took a serious look at Trello. I was amazed at how powerful it was, even in its simplicity.
Brittany Joiner has embodied both the power and the simplicity that makes up Trello in her book, “Supercharging Productivity with Trello: Harness Trello’s powerful features to boost productivity and team collaboration”. As a fellow Atlassian Community Leader, I was given the opportunity to read a pre-release copy of this book and here are my thoughts.
Brittany takes us from the beginning to a seamless Trello experience. She starts us on that experience in the early chapters by showing us through text and pictures how to create our first Trello board and populate our first cards. She then shows us how to improve the information on our cards with advanced features and integrations.
With boundless energy, she moves us further, demonstrating advanced Trello features such as automation, allowing our cards to come to life based upon external actions. Finally, Brittany shows us Power-Ups, add-on capabilities to enhance the boards themselves.
The truth is most of Trello’s power is masked by its simplicity. It takes a masterpiece such as Brittany’s book to show that power so everyone can take advantage of it. If you’re a Trello user, novice or advanced, reading this book will improve your acumen with Trello and make your Trello experience that much better.

I thought it was laid out well. I’m a single person using Trello. She hit some of the highlights that I felt: 1. How you can rearrange Trello to your needs so quickly and nicely, 2. How it can be used on a computer and on an apps, and 3. The many uses you can use Trello for (page 6). I hope later on in the book (in one of the more advanced chapters) she talks more about the many uses you can use Trello. Personally I still find people who say they can do that on paper and it’s just fine.
Looking at the titles of all the chapters, it looks like this book is well thought out.

This book is definitely your guide to the Trello-Verse, whether you’re a long-time user of Trello or are new to the tool. Brittany’s expertise and humor make this book a fun and engaging read. She writes in a way that new users can quickly grasp how to start using Trello immediately. And for users who have been working with it for years (such as myself), she’s also there to help those users leverage Trello’s numerous strengths.
Within a day of starting to read this book, I was changing how I use Trello for my business, for the better. I knew Trello could do more than act as categorized, digital notecards, and this book made me feel like Brittany was right there with me, helping me to do things like AUTOMATE my boards and lists for the first time (something I previously felt was out of reach.) I’m using Trello more actively and more wisely, thanks to Brittany.

If you are the type of person who likes to learn technology using books and you’re looking for 1 book for learning Trello – then this book is for you.
Trello is a tool that on the surface looks like a simple web based task tracker but this book will show you step by step how to master the things you’ll need to transform it into a powerful task manager for any size team and project.
Brittany’s expertise and experience comes though the pages. So you’ll never feel overwhelmed or lost as the book with start by building a strong foundation on the basics before you get into the more complex topics such as building automated workflows and integrations to other tools.
