I expected them to be brighter, to be fair they are brighter then the ones I had but in photos it looks to be even brighter then they end up. Still over all good lights. Works perfect in my vehicle.

Brightness was definitely improved over factory bulbs but longevity leaves much to be desired. I purchased these in Nov 2016, installed one of the 2 and its already burnt out less than 5 months later. I’ll try the other and hopefully it lasts much longer.

The headlamps are a noticeable improvement over my OEMs in terms of brightness and clarity. But the driver’s side light blew out after only **5 months.**
I have to have the dealer or other professional install headlamps on my car, since there’s too much disassembly required, and I don’t want to take that on. So, I paid more for installation than I did for the actual bulbs. And now I have to pay to change them out. I’m going back to OEMs – they may not be as bright as the H11s, but the last set lasted me 5 years and nearly 100k miles. Who needs a dead bulb late at night on an unlit country road?
Consider me *very* disappointed. I won’t be returning.

I just installed these on a 2013 Cadillac CTS and they are brighter and whiter than the OEM (very little night driving on my Mom’s car, so really OEM.) I can tell you to install on that car isn’t easy because you have to remove part of the bumper but that’s hardly the bulbs’ fault.
Others complained about these bulbs burning out too fast but you have to put it into context. These bulbs are brighter and whiter than the entry level lightbulb because they burn hotter and likely have a different gas mixture inside the bulb than whatever you’re used to. There is an inverse relationship for all incandescent bulbs between lifespan and brightness. More life, less bright. More bright, less life.
Using these bulbs >will< increase the temperature inside your headlight housing compared to more typical, less bright bulbs. This can be very bad if you frequently drive several hours per night without any cool down, or even if you're in a very hot climate. The hotter the bulb is, the quicker the filament will burn away. So these driving conditions could burn the bulb out before it's rated number of hours but it is actually what's expected. If you have an older car and these driving conditions, it is possible the excessive extra heat generated can cause physical damage to your car's electric or surrounding plastic. It's very unlikely you'll have that problem with any car in normal conditions. Check with a pro if in doubt.
If you do a lot of night driving and want bulb longevity over brightness, whiteness and down range illumination then you might try one of the 2 cheaper bulbs made by this company. If you want better night driving performance lights there is 1 bulb above this by this company that does it, but beware those bulbs last for less time than this one. You’ll get more runtime hours out of this bulb if you drive less than an hour at a time with lights on and do a 30 minute cool down between multiple trips. It’s just the way it is with these bulbs.
If you want the best of all worlds and will spend the money, some LED headlight bulbs on the market claim to offer both longevity and superior performance. Personally I find the light frequency of most LED headlights to be a strain on my eyes.

Waited to write the review to see how long they will last. It’s been more than 7 months now (including a cold Canadian Winter) and these Sylvania H11 SilverStar High Performance Halogen Headlight Bulbs are still going strong! : )
I really believe anyone who reports that these halogen headlight bulbs don’t last is because they’re not aware that any oil on any halogen bulb will cause them to burn out prematurely. Yes, this includes oil from your hands! Once the old bulb is removed, I put on a fresh pair of disposable gloves (nitrile or latex) and install the new bulb. If disposable gloves are not available, washing your hands thoroughly and using a clean rag to handle the bulb will work. The trick for these bulbs to last long is to make sure nothing oily touches the glass. I hope this helps.

You can definitely see farther distance and wider lighting than the standard bulbs. the only drawback is the longevity, expect to replace every 3 years because they have the built in daytime running light also.

The item listing said it would not fit my 2022 Chevy Malibu even though it has the same socket. I bought them anyway, and they worked. I think that is just something that Amazon needs to work out. Just be sure to look at your manual for your bulb and it will work.
Anyways, the lights are great. I installed them a couple days ago, so I cannot vouch on the longevity of the bulbs. But, these bulbs function just like the stock halogen bulbs but are much whiter and brighter. I initially installed LED bulbs but did not like the scattered beams of light, so I came back to halogen bulbs.
I think that for the mid-tier bulbs offered by this company, these are a great option that won’t break the bank while still being very bright.
