This video camera was better than anticipated. Works great for watching my dogs while I’m at work. The picture quality is amazing and clear. It was definitely worth the money. I got one, then repurchased because it worked so well. The app is easy to use. I didn’t even install a SD card in it. I don’t need to save video’s, I just needed to be able to see my dogs because one is a trouble maker. You can speak to them through the camera and there is an alarm if they need to stop what they are doing. I love this camera, it check all the boxes I need it for. I would definitely buy it again if I needed more.

Bought to monitor our dogs when we go out and at night. Have one in the family room on the mantelpiece, and the only downside is the limitation of panning down from that height leaves the nearest area out of view. The other we have in the foyer to monitor the area near the front door and the gate to the stairway. Motion sensor is great. The microphone is not that great, and the speaker for the speech function is not great, either. We have used the cameras from our home network, networks outside the home, and on 5G. When in an area where service drops to 4GLTE, the connection becomes flaky. The recording to Micro-SD card is great, and I don’t know why anyone would pay for a cloud account.

This camera is worth the buy! I use it for my cats and it alerts me of all movements and the app is very straightforward. The sound quality is a little iffy but it’s not horrible. The video quality is good and you’re also able to download your videos

Fantastic camera especially for the price. This is a great value security/baby/nanny camera. The picture quality is amazing for both daytime and night vision along with volume controlled audio. The Tapo app makes it very easy and convenient to view a live feed, playback previous recordings and control the camera remotely. With just a tap in the app, users can adjust the camera angle 360 degrees horizontally and 114 degrees vertically. The motion detection is extremely precise. The moment motion is detected, a notification is sent immediately to your phone. One of my favorite features is the ability to enter and exit privacy mode from within the app. This allows the user to discontinue camera recording and turn it back on remotely which is helpful for when the camera is not needed. The only drawback I have seen with this camera is that there is a 30 day free trial to their cloud based recording platform. After this trial, users must subscribe to “Tapo Care” otherwise the camera will stop recording. Users can still use an external memory card or view the live feed without this subscription. There are monthly and yearly plans starting at $3.49/month for 1 device which I feel is reasonable. Overall, this is a great quality camera and very affordable. Definitely worth the purchase.

Got this to spy on my cats while I’m at work! I adopted another cat for my 5yo cat after losing my 17yo cat and they had graduated to me tentatively leaving them alone together while I was at work. I got this camera so I could keep an eye out on if they started to fight or bully each other, so far it’s worked great, has a nice privacy mode.
The reaction time is a little slow, but for a cheap little camera I can move around with my phone it’s pretty great! Had a little bit of trouble getting it connected to the wifi at first but seems like the best option is to keep it near the modem and connect it there before moving it to where you want to place it!

I have two of these as baby monitors in rooms where my baby naps. Video quality is good, night vision works well especially to see whether reflective eyes are open or not.
But the connectivity is terrible. These lose connection every few seconds. Most of the time the video feed takes 10+ seconds to load. They are 10 feet from a WiFi router and can’t maintain connection. It works eventually but is not convenient to quickly ensure the baby is still asleep.
I have a bunch of Kasa/Tapo smart lights/plugs so wanted to integrate with the same app. They were cheap or I’d try replacements.

These cameras have a surprisingly good image quality, especially at night time. The app makes it super convenient to check your cameras from wherever you are, and has good controls for pan and tilt. The microphone and speakers are also pretty good, and the alarm is a nice feature on top. I like the notifications as soon as motion is detected and the fact that they don’t force you to get the subscription and have am SD card slot you can use instead, though the subscription is a nice option too. The mount also feels solid if you decide to use it. Overall a great product, perfect for any indoor applications you could think of.

Bought 5 cameras in total in the last few months for my business and home, so far they have all worked perfectly.
The cameras all arrived in their original packaging, sealed and with all their accessories. The product in general is excellent, although the material is plastic it feels of very good quality and with refined finishes. Installation in general is simple but this also depends on the location where you want it.
The interface is very solid, adding the cameras to the Tapo App was very simple, configuring them has also been very simple. We have tried the free 30 days of Tapo Care, which allows us to see all the events recorded by the camera. This without a doubt has been what I liked the most since with a conventional DVR system the search for events in 24-hour recordings becomes quite tedious and with Tapo Care I only have to worry about seeing the events that the camera has recorded when it has detected movement.
In general I’m very satisfied with the product. I plan to continue purchasing more cameras in the coming months to cover areas that need my attention at home and in my business. Worth every penny.
