This pedal is awesome, offers so much tonality but there are a couple features I feel like should have been easily included.

Small issue I’m not super into is the mode selection knob. It barely sets into place with each setting and if you are switching modes quickly, you have to make sure it’s on the setting and not slightly off, causing a loss of signal. It would be awesome if it actually clicked into position.

The other issue is with the tap tempo capability. It is awesome that you even have the choice to add an external tap to the stereo input, and have the choice to swap the mash feature with a tap tempo function, but it would be so much more convenient to have a switch on the pedal to go between the two options. I miss having the mash function to play with, even though it’s hard to tame. It’s part of the fun you sacrifice for functionality.

I would still buy again, but these would be awesome upgrades.

Also, I had to return the first unit because the 3rd TonePrint slot wasn’t working. The return was quick enough but I did have to send the return before they sent out the replacement which is understandable, but created a two week gap without the pedal.

For what I paid for, $100 bucks, it sounds as good as a TRex replica pedal for more than half the price. The replica is the nicest sounding, analog sounding digital delay with modulation and the flashback sounds 95% as good if not more in the tape delay setting. And that’s not even considering all the other usable settings on it, especially the crystal delay setting. Mash option is somewhat gimmicky but you can make it usable too.

One major thing to note is that even with the pedal off (in bypass) it affects my tone in the signal chain. Doesn’t suck your tone, it oddly boosts the level and adds more mids for some reason. Anyway that’s what I heard from my setup and it’s not a big deal for me. Check demo videos on YouTube. But this is an incredible pedal for the price. Expand your sounds with this delay.

Very cool pedal… Goes beyond your basic delay. The TonePrint is pretty handy.

It’s sturdy and sounds good. It won’t really impress the pedal snobs, but considering the price, it’s fantastic. There are other pedals that sound better. If all you want is analog delay, you should just buy a Carbon Copy. If all you care about is tape delay, you could probably find something better. But if you want to have a large library of good delay sounds at your disposal for a low price, this pedal is great.

This is a very useful delay pedal if you are thinking about it. Easy to use. Simple controls. Brilliant sound. Love the versatility. Looper is a bonus which works really nicely. You won’t be sorry!

This is maybe one of the best pedals for delay, I have the big brother/sister “triple flashback” but it’s to big for the pedalboard. This pedal fits perfect. The only complain I have is about the volume of the delay is that that the space between zero to high volume is to small regarding delay volume. I’t not easy to set for example slapdelay with distortion wich can be tricky. Every thing else is top notch.

Quite simply this is one of the most outstanding delay pedals I have ever used. Infinite options and some of the best delay sounds you can hope to get outside of strymon for this price point.

This is the flashback 2 model which includes the new Tc MASH technology which is a feature where depending how much pressure you place on the foot controller it’ll change delay parameters such as a ‘hold’ function as an example.

It’s got so many great delay sounds including the 2290 which is a personal favourite as well as the crystal and modulation delays. To top it off it has a built in looper! As well as 3 slots for 3 separate tone prints, which is a feature wheelreby artists have collaborated with TC to design a ‘signature’ delay sound. All of those can be accessed by the TC app on your phone and you can ‘beam’ them onto the pedal via Bluetooth which is an amazing feature!

It’s built like a tank! Is true bypass and also has stereo in and out! You also have the option for rhythmic variations by the little switch on the top.

Absolutely love the design and look of this pedal, looks really classy and has stood the test of time.

It’s hard to say much more, for a musician you have every type of delay you could imagine, which are fully customisable, toneprint slots and a looper all for sub £120 at the type of writing this.

I really have no negatives I adore this pedal
The strymon timeline and other delays are often referred to as the gold standard of delays and it is but at 4 times the price.

This little magic blue unit in my personal opinion is comparable based on what it can do at a fantastic price point. As with all their pedlas, TC have absolutely knocked it out of the park with this unit!

The only way to up it is to go and buy the TC flashback x4 , for 4 flashbacks 😁

Added a new dimension to my sound. Probably not the craziest pedal out there, but you can get some weird sounds out of this thing.

This pedal does everything you need it to do quickly, easily, and all while sounding great. Not too bassy and not too bright (although the crystal effect can be a bit cheesy at times), the tone is very deep and clear. I mainly bought it for stereo use, and it sounds great! To be honest, I’ve yet to use the mash feature that much, but if you’re trying to make noise, the mash function is a beautiful thing.

I tried the less expensive Echobrain from TC first. It left me wanting. This pedal is everything I need a delay effect to be and more. You want it.
