I am using this router as an access point specifically and t’s working very well. I have dead spots in my house and have 2 Unifi access points which are powerful but I still have odd ball areas of no connectivity. My router is an Asus so it’s a variety of hardware that I use for my network. This unit connected easily to my network and is playing nice with the network hardware. It is super easy to set up. It comes with a network patch cable and power cord.
Download the Tenda wifi app to your phone and create an account if you don’t already have a Tenda account.
Plug in the router. I am using it as an AP so I plugged the network cable to my switch and the WAN port of the router.
Once the light is a solid green on the router open the app.
In the phone wifi settings, connect to the TENDA_XXX wifi
Follow the steps to change the password on the Tenda wifi so it’s secured.
Change the router’s role to AP (if you are using it as an access point that is) by going into Settings> Advanced> Working mode> Select “switch mode” on the AP Mode line. The router reboots and it is good to go.
I ran speed tests and this sucker flies.

You may consider this an unusual-looking WiFi router, but once you have it and it transmits data, you will forget that and just enjoy the fast connection and lack of issues. It is the latest fully-tested 6 version of WiFi, and with its five antennas, it should broadcast a strong WiFi signal throughout most houses. Perfect for the main internet access to your home or small office, it also has 4 gigabit LAN ports for wired connections of the desktops. The AX3000 Dual Band can then also supply its strong signal to your phones, tablets, and other smart devices. While IMO the pricing is a little high the features and quality are a good substitute for the extra cost.

It has 4 ethernet ports, as well as high gain antennas.
It also supports Wifi 6 for better transfer speeds.
Setup is straightforward, and I found the reliability and speed to be significantly better than my older name brand router, so this is a nice upgrade.

This Tenda has some good features and specs and a decent price. I first started setting it up from the modem to the Tenda WAN then to the ethernet on my PC (see picture) and connected immediately and I was able to register and make a password. I didn’t have luck beyond that point and could not get the internet. I then downloaded the app and finished from there. It is a very light medium size unit with five antennas and it actually looks kind of cool. No problem from there and great speed down and upload so no complaints. It looks better and outperforms the Spectrums unit, very pleased at that.

I was expecting a better quality item for the price, don’t get me wrong it does the job is just that it feels that it is made of cheap quality materials.
The speed that it gives its decent compared to the old-school Linksys that I was using before replacing it with this one, since this once has WiFi 6 capabilities.
It does the job, but for the price I would go with a higher end router.
