These King James Version Bible CDs enable anyone interested in hearing the contents of the Bible (King James Version), read by a professional. The contents of the Bible can greatly differ from what is sometimes preached and taught; hearing them is far more beneficial.

These CDs are far more useful for those who are interested in starting at a specific place in the Bible, and hearing its contents from there. Anyone who desires to consider the Bible literally will find this reading helpful (though a far more literal rendering is far more helpful, and is also not available from what I have seen).

Why is Abraham so important? The Genesis text will explain.

What did Jacob suffer after his brother sought to murder him? The Genesis text will also explain this.

How did Joseph save the entire Middle East? This is also in Genesis.

How did Israel come out of Egypt? The Exodus text will explain this.

When did the Israeli-Palestinian conflict begin? Genesis 26 explains this.

When did Israel and the Palestinians begin having wars? The Book of Judges explains this.

Hearing the real accounts can change the perspectives of those who were incorrectly taught these things, but who never considered what really happened.

The Bible squarely places Israel as the center of the plan of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the text found on these CDs will explain exactly why this is.

Listening literally to the CDs of Revelation will prove quite surprising. No where is Israel successfully attacked by demons in the whole book of Revelation.

Listening literally to the parables of Jesus, and stopping to consider them in a literal way, will produce an understanding of them that easily exceeds what one can learn from most denominations and non-denominations. Hearing just how offensive Jesus is toward some, and how gentle he is toward others, will show his character (in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). He openly declares that he was only sent to the lost sheep of the House of Israel; the CDs will have the texts that will explain why.

They aren’t very expensive for the education they give–an education for those who claim to believe, and for those who definitely don’t believe, but who just want to see what this book claims. The readers don’t show any bias; they just read what is there.

I love James Earl Jones, but I must say that I was disappointed with his rendition of the New Testament. He reads it lazily, almost in a whisper, as if he is trying to preserve his voice from wearing out. And he makes mistakes. Yes, there are mistakes. I just felt that I ought to point that out. Now on the other hand, Jon Sherberg does an outstanding job with the Old Testament. I listen to these CDs in the car on my daily commute, and it really seems like I’m hearing David himself, or Jeremiah, or Isaiah, with all of the raw emotion those guys must have felt. The Old Testament CDs are outstanding, and worth the price of the whole set. The New Testament part, well, it’s not bad, just so-so; and watch out for the errors on the NT CDs, because there are a good few.

I’ve been thinking about an audio bible for a little while and I’m so pleased I’ve bought one. Very clear reading, easy to listen to while driving to and from work. It doesn’t replace reading my Bible, but compliments it well. I would recommend it to anyone.

I did not truly know how best to determine the value of this purchase. The rated value assigned represents a problem that has not been resolved. The problem that has not been resolved is complicated by the fact that upon discovering this problem I felt there was a wilful misdeed underfoot, that is, I felt the misdeed was deliberate.I only discovered this wilful act at a later point, and only recently did I discover that two discs were not present.I believe that those two disc’s missing were from “The Old Testament” and they were, in fact, The Books or Book of Daniel. The missing two discs were further aggravated by the fact that this purchase seems to be without an ability to repair this grievance as the allotted time allowed to return this purchase had just expired. This all was quite difficult to take so seriously as the conduct of another such purchase met with a shorting of value there as well. That purchase was an earlier attempt to purchase a version of the “Holy Bible” read by Alexander Scourby.I got my money back, but I had to pay from my own pocket to return the purchase.I was not reimbursed.Though this is as I have stated, I wanted to express something of the true value of what this purchase has meant. This particular purchase with both “Old and New Testaments” is a value I cannot replace. The reading thus far done by Jon Sherberg in his reading of the “Old Testament” is excellent. The words and names and locations are so well read that I actually was learning about Gods plan.It is such a worthy adventure to know our heavenly Father through his word that good fortune seems to have followed me as I know Daniel much better through a Series called “Agents of Babylon” by Dr.David Jeremiah. It was in a consideration of the literal translation as read by Jon Sherberg that I had wanted to check for the Book of Daniel. It was then that I discovered that the “Book of Daniel” was indeed missing. The importance of the literal translation is important enough to illustrate what I’am talking about. In Exodus as Pharoahs, chariots seem to have all of Isreal with their back against the sea God constructs a wall in a mist. This literal translation(reading) did not place it as a wall of fire God only said it was a wall in a mist. That was important enough to make note, and it was the reason I wanted to listen to Jon Sherberg read the “Book of Daniel”.In Truth, this is what I wanted.Presently I am’ listening to Disc 20 with Jon Sherberg’s reading of II Kings verses 1-10.
