Let me start with this, I was not prepared for these books. It’s not something I would usually read, and I can say Girl In Pieces would have been more relatable to when I was a teen. How To Make Friends With the Dark was the saddest in my opinion, but worth reading until the end. Now to my favorite You’d Be Home Now, it’s the only one I read through quickly that kept me drawn in. These books bring important issues to the light: self harm/mental illness, having your last words to your mother be awful, the harm in sexting, and lastly addiction. Everyone has their own story that we may not relate to, but we should always be someone that can listen to someone’s struggles without judgment.
