A good product for securing Thule crossbar feet to your car. However the install instructions are a bit cryptic – a little time spent on deciphering the design of the lock cores and how they can fit the Thule parts is necessary to accomplish installation. One you get that, and get them installed they work great.
I feel the instructions on the box could be made more clear but be sure to look closely at the design elements of the core and the Thule part they go into so you can figure out how it all works. One important feature to understand is that when installed correctly the key does not turn inside the lock core but rather turns the entire lock core so as to lock and unlock when installed correctly. ALso note that to install the lock cores the key needs to be in the core. Best to watch the video on the etrailer web site for clear instructions, better than what is on the box.

We delayed purchasing the locks for our Thule roof rack (Wingbar Evo) until after our Thule roof box arrived. Afterwhich, it made sense for all 6 locks to use a single key. There was a part missing from the package which was necessary for installation, but the seller immediately sent out the part free of charge. Installation was easy. I now have security and peace of mind when traveling with our Thule roof rack and roof box. Highly recommended.

I like Thule products and have for a long time – excellent design, look and function that compliments nicer vehicles. Something that is truly lacking for Thule however is intuitive meaningful instructions for their products. I understand the predominant use of pictures alone so everyone can understand but even their video instructions don’t provide quality, necessary details to install their equipment. I’m a very handy DIY’er and have struggled with several of their products.
This One-Key system was used to key alike all the locks on our rooftop box and rack. Once I found a simply, reasonable non-Thule instruction video online, the swap out was a breeze. Everything is now keyed alike and protected. Good luck out there and definitely seek out some non-Thule instructions when attempting to install their products!

I bought this because it was a 6 lock set and I wanted it manufactured by Thule to fit my crossbars. (I could only get a set of 4 or 8 from a local store and I wanted two extra in case I added excessories in the future. They are easy to install and well made. (And more than one key!)

This is a well integrated method of securing your bikes and the racks. I would highly recommend getting a pack of 6, at the minimum. Use 4 to secure the bases for the racks, and the remaining 2 to secure the bike carriers. If you think you will be adding more bike carriers in the future, purchase a larger kit of lock cylinders to future proof yourself.
