It has been in use for almost one year and looks brand new! I leave the rack on the top of my car in the Midwest, which is holding up well. The rack has been exposed to all seasons and shows very little wear. The rack holds my bike well, and I have no worries while driving. I just completed a drive from Indiana to Virginia with my bike and never had an issue. Highly recommend!

Got 3 of these racks to put on a Adarack frame for over the tonneau cover of my 2021 Chev Silverado. Works fantastic. The directions for the bike racks were a little confusing as it was only pictures and no words. By the time I assembled the 3rd rack I could do it blindfolded. Very secure rack especially with the extra locks. You need 2 locks per rack so plan ahead on that. If you buy a 4 pack of locks they will all be keyed the same. The rack is easy to use and I know the bikes are secure. The arm just clamps them down and they don’t move. Love these racks.

Even going 100+ on highways my wheel doesn’t move compared to my friends cheaper rack. I prefer the rack on passenger side of vehicle for easy install of my bike on to that side. I’m short 5’-7 can toss my bike on to my golf with ease.

I’m a long-time Thule user and I’ve had multiple roof and rear-hitch racks over the years. This holder was very easy to install on my new Audi Q5 factory rack BUT it’s pretty much impossible for me to install even a light bike into the holder without an external step. I’m 5’10” and there’s no way to articulate all the moving parts when standing on the ground next to my car. Hence, I need to carry a step with me in order to place a bike into a holder. If I had a sedan or smaller hatchback, none of this would probably be an issue but on my Q5, I can’t put a bike up into the holder without some elevation under foot.

I have this rack on multiple of my cars, works great. Unfortunately on my most recent purchase of it after a week of use the rear strap plastic piece broke. However I called Thule and within ten minutes I had a new piece sent out for replacement. No charges or anything. More than happy and the rack works great.

Installs perfectly on my 2009 Forester’s factory crossbars. Although its max load capacity is rated at 44 lbs, with the Thule fat bike adapter (bought separately), it holds my 50+ lbs fat bike just fine.
Since I don’t ride as much as I would like to because of my hectic schedule, I plan on continuing to use this rack to carry my 50+ lbs fat bike.

Pretty decent overall. The instructions were not exceptionally clear, but the rack was easy to install once I got everything lined up on roof-rack crossbars. I did install 2 Thule locks (sold separately)…and I agree with other reviewers – these items should be included as “standard equipment” with the rack. The wheel cradles were easy to move and adjust (be careful though – it is possible to push the end cap off and slide the wheel cradle completely off of the rail). This rack worked very well for carry children’s BMX-style bikes…closely spaced top frame tubes and down tubes can make it challenging to get the rack’s frame locking arm positioned correctly. Easy to use. I’d purchase this rack again, as well as recommend it to others.

Easy to install, easy to put/remove the bike out of it.

My new bike has a through axle, but a small diameter one (6mm I think). I’ve always used fork mount carriers from Thule but had to find one that would work with the wheels on.
The issue I have is getting the frame clamp aligned while trying to piece the bike in the carrier. I wish the frame clamp had more friction so I could set an angle and then place the bike.
My advice if you can easily remove your front tire, get a fork mount carrier, it’s easier to put the bike up and the bike will sit upright while you tighten it down.

Even when tightened down all the way, this product allows the front wheel to wobble at a high frequency a couple inches left to right over 50 MPH. Casual use (minimal distances and infrequent use) may not make a big impact. (Note: this issue doesn’t present itself with traditional road tires (25mm)) Cross country drives and/or daily use may wreck front when bearings, depending upon the bike, tire size, etc. Thule’s direct fork mount options might be a better choice for those uses. I’m average height and use this for an 18-lb gravel bike on a small SUV. On my Miata, I used a $50 trunk rack for four years several times per week with zero issues. If I needed a roof rack to carry a MTB or heavier bike on a higher SUV, this bike rack is terrible value for money, given the fiddly process for placing the bike on the roof and the propensity for wheel wobble to chew up bearings at high speeds. This rack is good for a very specific use case and while a cheap trunk or lift gate rack might present inconvenient access to cargo with bikes on the rack, it’s substantially better value for money than this.
