This is a tambourine and is a good size to fit in a small area. The only problem I see is due to its sized it is not very loud. Good for small venues where volume needs to be controlled. It is made well and has a nice mount.

This thing works great and the clamp is even more heavy duty than the picture might have you believe. Don’t mount it to your hi-hat stand though because each time your foot goes up and down it jingles. Unless you want that.

I’ve had this percussion instrument for almost 2 years now, and have used it –along with an LP High Pitch Jam Block (the blue one)– in conjunction with either my small drum setup (a set of LP Jr. wood congas) or my medium hand drum kit (Pearl Primero Pro fiberglass congas/bongos). It has a bright, full sound with plenty of overtones to add both sizzle and smoothness. Note, however, that you need to use some finesse when playing it; a little Jingle-Hit goes a long way!
It serves its purpose very well, allowing me to assist/overlay the drummer (when there is one) on the straight 8th notes and back-beat of certain songs that are more rock-oriented and that don’t really stand to benefit from the addition of hand drums. It allows me to stay on stage during those tunes without looking like a dork, standing idly by while twiddling my thumbs until the song ends. I can, instead, bang away on the Jingle-Hit and Jam Block and actually convince most of those in the audience that I too am a “real” drummer, because I can play with sticks as well!

And, when I’m the only percussionist on stage it allows me to fake two-thirds of a normal drum kit anytime that fits a song better.
In fact, I think I’m going to eventually add a CP Mini Hi-Hat, a 6″ Toca Timbale Snare (which I already have), one of my bongo sets, and a Stanton Moore 12″ Pandeiro for use as a kick-drum (it will be fitted, using an LP Gajate Bracket, to a kick pedal) to construct a very simple but useful “Micro Drum Kit”.

I’ve been searching for some time for a tambourine that can be played on the hi-hat rod, as well as being played by a stick while mounted on a percussion arm. I have tried about every one on the market, and it seemed that each model excelled at one application and not the other. This one seems to be a great balance between the two. It’s louder (stick played) than the LP JamTamb, and sounds better (on the hihat rod) than the LP Cyclops Hihat Tambourine or the Tama Jingle Ring. (For the record, to my ear, the best hihat rod tambourine is the JamTamb.)
The Jingle Hit has a light, crisp sound- not as “pitched” or penetrating a sound as the LP models. I find its volume appropriate for stick or hihat use.
Its construction is professional, the included Gibraltar mount is great, and it’s very lightweight which is helpful on the hihat.
If you play with sticks AND want to mount on your hihat stand at times, I’d say this is the tambourine for you.

I attached this to my Cocktail drum kit
It comes with nice hardware mounts and a very nice – clean finish.
I do not have any low volume problems with it as other people have reported, and I use it live while other people playing full sized tambourines on the same stage.
Please note: I am not a loud player and I do not work with loud bands.
This one gets 5 stars as a drum set Tambourine in my book.

I play this with a cajon, djembe and a full drum kit (move it around). It sounds great. The rubber hitting surface removes any stick sound when played with the kit which I like. Of course, it makes it easy on the hands too. Btw, I have also used it with shakers and chuiqitas. Very versatile percussion that you can use on different musical needs.

This is one of the better mounted tambourines I have had. It has a pretty fair sound for its size, and best of all it has a good feel and minimal stick clack when played with a drum stick. The foam rubber material around the entire strike surface gives a nice rebound during stick contact and the jingles respond fairly well. The traditional wood shell gives it a more natural sound than some of the metal ring or plastic mounted tambourines. The mount that comes with it works well and allows a variety of positions and adjustments.
Addition:
After using it about 2 years now, I still love it! Sounds the most natural and with the best jingle sound I’ve experienced on the hi-hat. It’s holding together very well. It is far better than the metal ring style hi-hat tambourine I have, which has a very thin sound and occasionally looses it’s jingle keepers.

Tambourine had a great tone to it while it lasted. Unfortunately it broke while playing it with drumsticks (Which is exactly what it is intended for). I would love to exchange this item or be refunded. I want a tambourine that has a good sound but won’t break when played with sticks.
