Bought as gift for my brother, heโs never played but he wanted to learn. They are heavy and very sturdy. Sound was ok but we blamed that on his musical ability lol.

great quality for the money. replacement heads are hard to find, and pricey. i dont beat on them hard, so they should last. good hardware, and they came with a tool to adjust the head tension. they sound great, even though they are plywood construction, and made in a very poor country. i am impressed!

I’m a novice bongo player so I can’t really speak to the tone quality of these bongos. That being said they are a GORGEOUS blue color and are made of heavy, solidly constructed materials. I would put these on display! Worth every dime and they sound nice imo!

I bought this for my 10 year old daughter to help her learn percussion. These are EXECELLENT bongos. They are heavy. They seem to have real hide pads…and they are tuneable. I can’t explain how impressed I was with the construction and sound of this instrument. I pull up YouTube videos of bongo lessons on the TV and she practices different patterns while waiting for me to make dinner. She loves these. I do too. These are great beginner/intermediate bongos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Clarify: I say beginner/intermediate because my beginner instruments are always at an intermediate level. I don’t want to have to fight a poorly made instrument while I’m trying to learn to play it. I always recommend buying up from the bottom so that you don’t become discouraged by poor equipment.

I bought this drum for my 3 year old child and am very pleased with how much fun he has gotten from it. I like the bright color and solid build quality of the drum and I like that it is heavy enough that it doesn’t move around when my kid gets rough with it. I also really love the fact that this drum is heavy duty enough that it will still be usable as my kid grows up. I generally shy away from the drums made specifically for children, because I know the instruments won’t grow with the child.
The main drawback is that the drumheads are a little bit too stiff for a 3 year old’s hand. He can make a little bit of noise with his hands, but not very much. Instead, my kid needs to use some sort of drumstick with these. Currently, he likes to use a pair of wooden spoons, but a pair of padded xylophone mallets also works well. This isn’t a criticism of the product at all, because the drum heads are supposed to be stiff. Just know that if you are getting this for a young child, that it will be a little bit frustrating out of the box unless you have some sort of drumstick (even chopsticks work well).
The drum is somewhat heavy, but my kid can carry it around with a little bit of struggling. The fact that the drum has little metal legs that it stands on means that the drum makes a nice sound even if it is resting on the floor. It is understandably way too big for my kid to be able to straddle or hold on his lap.

I am totally new to bongo drums, but I absolutely love these. They are well made, and the glossy finish is beautiful.
From what I can tell, they sound great, granted I don’t have much of a point of comparison.
The fact they are produced with eco friendly, sustainable materials is really the icing on the cake.

It came used and warn. This was what my daughter wanted for Christmas and we dis t have time to replace. But I would be wary of this seller

Very pretty blue color on shells and heads are white. The skins seem thicker than One Earths and do not seem to stretch quite as much. No matter, they are easily tuned to whatever sound you want. I like them very much, but seem to be a bit heavy. The tuning rod placement seems perfect for me a they fit between legs compfortably. Having a lot of fun with them.
One note, heads are an unusual size at 6 and 6 3/4 inches. Provide slightly different but great sound.
