I can’t think of a better tool to carry with your bike. I use this tool for all my adjustments and carried it on an 11,000 mile bike tour with great success. It looks a little fragile but it’s extremely durable. I bought a spare kit in case they stop selling it.

This is my favorite travel friendly multi tool. Itโs a little bulkier than something like a Crankbrothers M17 or similar but I just LOVE the ratchet feature you get with this Topeak. Makes everything so much easier. Also a good feature to have the torque bit for when you want precision. 10/10.

Why is this better than a multitool?

I’ve already used this several times in the field and found it is superior to a multi tool. The first time was adjusting the brake on my Brompton. The bolt I had to tighten is below the rack and difficult to reach with a multi tool. The ratchet head on this tool reached the bolt and tightened it even in the confined space I had to work in.
My son-in-law’s aerobar’s elbow rest was too low. I used this to adjust it and tightened the bolt to the required 6Nm. I like having a torque wrench, even out on the road.
The tool comes with an extension bar which can be used to extend the handle, providing more leverage, or between the head and the bit to reach awkward bolts. It is also used by the chain breaker. You attach the wrench to the chain breaker with a 5mm bit, use the extension bar as a handle, and you have a chain breaker that’s much easier to use than my standard Park Tools chain breaker.
It’s not cheap but it is an ideal tool for touring and randonneuring.

Outstanding product. Very compact and intuitive design. At first I tried to “set” the torque wrench, but you simply tighten with it a d watch the live dial increase until it indicates the torque you want. No click out like other torque wrenches. It works very well and has a nice range of measurements.

I was surprised by how small the set was when it first arrived and I immediately though that it was overpriced, but, after taking this out on several rides and having to use it to make adjustments, I love it. It’s awesome, handy tiny set of tools for working on your bike on the road.

This tool has almost all of the main hex sizes and bits you’d need for use on a bike. The best part is that this has a torque gauge included so you can properly torque or check that bolts are at the proper torque. it could have used a little better line indications on the torque gauge as there was a little guess work to go between marks. Also, including a quick reference table for converting from NM to In-Lbs, and other conversions would make this thing more versatile. A little on the heavy side, so if you’re counting grams, probably just stick to hex keys or a lighter multi-tool.
We put together a buddie’s bike after shipping on an airplane to go ride the Katy Trail for 5 days. This worked to both assemble, properly torque, and disassemble his bike, as well as regular tuning and bolt tightening on the trail. Only other thing you’d really need would be a chain break tool and you should be good to go. My buddy was so impressed by the utility of this thing he went and bought one after the trip.

Personalmente no lo llevo cuando voy a rodar pero lo uso cuando tengo que hacerle ajustes a mi bici en casa. Es fรกcil de usar y tiene extensiones para alcanzar lugares difรญciles. Cumple su funciรณn de aplicar el torque necesario para las diferentes partes de la bici

I love this multi-tool: itโs small, sturdy, comfortable, versatile, and it has a torque wrench! Amazing. Possibly the best part, it can be used with standard driver bits. If I lose any bits, everything is replaceable. On the other hand, the special parts are the ratcheting arm and the torque bit. For that, itโs very expensive. If you could pay for just those two and get the rest separately, I suspect youโd pay way less. The added chain breaker is also nice, but if it would reduce the price, Iโd happily get it separately. That said, I canโt live without it now. If I ever lose this one, Iโll replace it in spite of the cost. (You could also add sockets to your go-bag if you have nuts somewhere on your bike and it will drive those too.)
