Mine came without the spoke wrench. Poor packaging makes easy for parts to get lost (or stolen?)…. Very dissapointed for not having all what I paid for.

I bought one of these tool packs a while ago for emergencies on a long trip.
It turns out that the tool pack is so handy that I bought one for each of my other bikes (four of them). The tools are of reasonable quality, and the packed very neatly with easy access in the bag. I like the bottom extension as that is where I keep a spare tube. Quick and easy access when you need it the most.

This pack works well on my bike, but I did think it would be just a bit larger. The easy on and off mounting is a big plus, but the “expandable” feature does not really gain much. The tools are nice, but lack a pair of pliers that are pretty helpful. Some people have complained in reviews that the tools make noise but I had not experienced that, mine came with a piece of foam to hold them in place so maybe they have solved this issue. I’ve not had to use the tire tools, chain break, etc. yet (thank goodness), but they seem to be high quality.
Nicely made, zippers work well, reflective strip is always a good thing.

The shipping part was great.
The bag is very nice and solid feeling. This size bag looks good on my bike however it may be too small for me. I put a 29er tube in the lower portion of the bag and it about takes up all the space.
I was able to put in the 29er spare tube, a CO2 holder, and two CO2 cartridges. There is absolutely no room for my cell phone and/or wallet. The two CO2 cartridges had to go up in the tool section of the bag too.
The Fixer 25 clip that goes on the seat didn’t go well for me. I had to slide my seat back a 1/4 inch so it would mount. Once clipped on though the bag is very solid.
If you don’t need a large bag and you have your seat slid back far enough for the mount to work, you’ll love it. Tools seem good and bag is great. Just keep the size and seat position in mind before purchase.

With reasonable amounts of space

I am just breaking into riding again. I wanted a repair kit that wouldn’t take up much space. this wedge bag sure fit the bill. It’s small and compact, it also doesn’t interfere with my bike rack bag.
I found the tools inside to be of great help when I was given a bike that had 2 flat tires on it. I did have to add a couple of wrenches for tire removal. other than that everything else is inside. great product.

I just bought my first bike in 20 years (a hybrid Diamondback Interval) and def want a tool kit and bag large enough for some emergency needs (cell, knife, small emergency kit, poncho, Cliff bar, patch kit, light) .. this bag is well designed, it does not look large but can expand yet is compact enough to easily blend in. The tool kit is handy, hex heads, open end wrench(s)…It is a perfect fit for my need.

The Topeak II Survival Tool Wedge Pack is great for those who ride long miles and need an emergency kit.
The pack comes with
– Expanding panel quickly increases storage capacity
– 17 piece tool kit Includes 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6mm Allen wrenches, Phillips & flat screw drivers, 8 & 10mm open wrenches,14g, 15g, Mavic M7 & Shimano spoke wrenches, universal chain tool with chain hook, 2 tire levers & a glueless patch kit
– A yellow rain cover that will protect the bag and its contents
– QuickClick w/Seatpost Strap
There is really nothing negative about the pack and its contents, because it comes with everything you expect from a survival pack and one to keep behind your seat.
BUT…there is something I really need to emphasize to people before purchasing this kit.
If you have been fitted by your bike by your local LBS and everything is set and perfect with how your saddle position is, there may be one caveat.
For both my road bikes, my saddle is set where most of the saddle’s bars (which the Wedge Pack should connect to) are in the front not on the back. This is problematic because for some people, they may need to scoot their saddle back to expose the bar in order for the Wedge Pack to be installed.
For me, this is problematic in the sense that for me, I have my saddle set for comfort. I have had my saddles set perfectly for my ride and will not mess with that. Setting the saddle back a few inches and I would have to sacrifice that comfort and really stretch my arms for a long part of my ride and sacrificing comfort is unacceptable.
But for those who can deal with moving around your seat in order tofit the adapter for the pack, you should be fine.
But the first thing I would do is to find if you have the bars underneath the saddle (where it’s at it’s most thinnest), if you have a good amount of it towards the rear your fine. If most of it is in the front, then you’ll be in my position and it can be problematic.
Also, if you use rear lights. While you probably can get by with a Lezyne Micro rear light, one that’s small, you’ll be fine. But for Cycliq Fly 6 Rear Light/Camera users, depending on your bike, you may not be able to use your Fly 6 because the pack may be in the way.
But I just want to say that of the survival repair kits out there for bike riders that costs under $50, this is one of the best out there…but before you purchase, you need to make sure you have the additional bar for the latch to connect to.
If you don’t and don’t want to mess with your saddle settings that have been fit to you, then I recommend a repair kit that mounts under the top of your frame or an underneath saddle version in which it uses straps to wrap around the bag and the saddle bars versus having an adapter.
Otherwise, there is an alternative. You can possibly mess around and do a little DIY.
But overall, The Topeak II Survival Tool Wedge Pack is recommended! The tools are awesome and are well-crafted.

The stock picture makes it look more like a round bag, but it actually has an aero shape. It does not need too much space under the saddle. It has 2 main compartments. The top one holds the tools steady as they are encased in a hard foam. I also inserted the rain cover here to save space on the bottom compartment. The bottom one has enough space to place a replacement tube, a wallet, a cellphone, keys, etc. because within the bottom compartment there is a zipper that expands the size of it. Very handy. The material is sturdy and well constructed. An added bonus is the reflective strip that it has around it. I used to have a aero topeak bag but it was too small. This fits my purpose and I love it.
