My PC’s built in wifi card is so weak that it doesn’t connect to my gigabit internet hub down stairs. Ordered this little thing because of its fast 1 day delivery. Plug and play with very weak speed (0.19Mbps or something), but once its connect to internet, I updated the driver immediately via the website the manual provided. Afterwards, the test result is more than adequate (my ethernet wired speed is around 900Mbp, this is near 200Mbps). It’s still very impressive considering I am one floor above and one room away from the source.

Husbands laptop the internet was working intermittently, windows stopped updating. A good gaming laptop was just sitting their collecting dust. Finally said what’s the worse that could happen. Well, it works again, finally updated.Stopped is from having to take it and paying $200+ to get it repaired.

I installed this wifi adapter on my older Windows 10 desktop, it worked right out of the box without any special driver installation. When I upgraded the machine to Win 11 this was also seamless. I was originally concerned that the wifi adapter being so small it would not have a sufficient antenna to get a good signal from my router which is downstairs at the other end of the home. That fear proved to be unfounded, it is fast and always maintains connection.

Te gonuna computadora Valió del 2007 aún funciona pero ahora que la actualice a Win10 perdÃa la conexión del wifi y ni actualizando controladores funcionó, aunado a una conexión no muy rápida, con esta aparatito la conexión es estable y carga bastante rápido, la verdad lo recomiendo mucho si quieren revivir equipos viejos o pc que no tengan una tarjeta de red.

I recently purchased this WIFI adapter because the internal NIC in my laptop kept “disconnecting”. All I had to do was plug this WIFI adapter into my laptop and it worked right away. It does come with a disc but I didn’t need to load anything to get it to work.
I love the fact that is very small and only sticks out a little more than 1/4″ from the computer. The speed on this thing is crazy. I was only getting around 45Mbps with my old NIC but this WFI adapter consistently gets me over 550Mbps download and over 70Mbps upload.
I would HIGHLY recommend this WIFI adapter to anyone that is in the market to buy one.

NOT RECOMMENDED
Installs easily, small and can be left plugged in (as advertised) and doesn’t occasionally drop WiFi signal completely as my built in laptop’s WiFi has started doing (the reason I bought this). HOWEVER – throughput when backing up over WiFi at home to my NAS was awful – what was taking 25-30 minutes on my internal WiFi took 113 minutes – then it DID drop the signal before the second part of my nightly backup ran. It’s so bad I shall be returning this.
I did some digging and found that although response time is not bad at first it quickly gets to the point where every 6th data packet has pathetically slow response time (drops from around 12ms to 2600-3000 ms) or drops every 6th packet altogether. Here’s a brief excerpt of a ping test (NOTE it’s not the WiFi access point as I get similar results on my WiFi at home and at work, and I’ve worked in IT for more than 50 years so know a little about what I’m doing).

Tiny little beast so make sure its facing your router .
I used mine on an older Dell XPS and got 30mbs which is roughly what I expected but got 12 mbs on a cheaper wireless adapter.
Overall .. I’d buy another one .. Yes

I have a four year old HP laptop running Win 11, that suddenly began losing WiFi connection, a common occurrence with older laptops. This adapter arrived the next day, in a small box with a CD with drivers, installed instantly and works flawlessly. So much for the headline.
The ideal solution would be replacing the internal OEM Intel WiFi adapter with an upgraded device. This would have been a tedious task and I am getting lazy. And although I do not enjoy losing a precious USB port, I consider this to be acceptable when I get an instant an inexpensive repair.
The included CD was not necessary for Win 11. The adapter was instantly recognized and Device Manager reported the installed drivers to be up-to-date (both WiFi and Bluetooth). I did not need to uninstall my old adapter or anything else, just plug this in and resume my work.
I decided to go with this TP-Link Nano USB WiFi Adapter over the WiFi 6 version (TP-Link Nano USB WiFi 6 Adapter) because of its smaller footprint, lower cost, and the older router I connect to. I consider this to be a temporary solution that I may reconsider later when I upgrade my SSD to 4TB. I expect to keep this laptop for several more years with several performance upgrades.
I highly recommend this adapter for those of us with older but serviceable and fully capable PCs, laptops and desktops with WiFi connection problems. This will work for almost all of you.
Not Happy –
Have an Asus Laptop…not the greatest but it is all I can afford. The wifi starred randomly disconnecting. I would have to put it to sleep to reconnect. It started happening more and more until finally I have to restart it to get it to reconnect. I just kept happening more and I believe it would have eventually given out. Obviously the wifi was failing.
Bought this for sale for 17.99 and just plugged it in and BLAM. It worked. It came with a CD Rom and booklet but I didn’t need either one which is good because my laptop doesn’t have a disc drive. Drivers installed on their own. Be sure to disable your original wifi in your computer so the system doesn’t default to that.
Speeds are better than before which makes sense given mine was failing. I pay for a 100mbps connection and get 120 through here so I am very satisfied. I cant speak to range however since I am in a apartment so I am either in the same room as the router or in the bedroom but I get the same signal.

My ISP has some sort of weird WiFi router that drops connections from some factory Lenovo laptops. Other WiFis work fine. So I plugged these in and problem solved. Cheap, easy, reliable.
NnjnbbnnWarning. I tried in my slightly oddball Linux PC and it was not plug and play. Chasing the drivers did not seem worth the effort.

The network adapter works great. Easy setup. Unfortunately amazon delivered it to the wrong address which forced me to go on a scavenger hunt to find it.

I purchased this “nano” WiFi transceiver 9/2023 to use with my mobile project PC’s, repair work and other USB enabled devices. The 5GHz signal strength was surprisingly good at the distances used. Where certain others couldn’t transmit or receive with adequate speed consistently, this one does.
Conclusion: I generally like TP-Link products and have had very few issues with them. This USB WiFi adapter is tiny and easy to lose, if you’re not vigilant. The performance is equivalent to a LOT of USB adapters that have large and eyesore antennae, which this one does not require. After testing/using for 9 months, I am very happy with this unit and would buy again in a hot minute.
