Yea about that. I just can’t get into this game. I’m the type of person who either gets totally immersed in a game right off the bat or never warms up to it. This game falls into the later category. I bought it because I love FPS games and I had a hard time finding something other than the usual zombie type games which I can’t stand. The previews for this looked like it would be an exciting game but all it really is, is a constant struggle to fend off wolves, bear and Dholes while trying to free your own tribes people from the evil Neanderthals. The weaponry you get at the beginning is insufficient to take on multiple enemies so you end up getting killed time and time again. Now, that’s just my experience. For the price, I expected something a little less random and focused. This seems like a cross between a hunting game, a survival game, a combat game and a clue finding game….a bit of everything but not really any one thing. The most annoying part of the game is that it has a lot of things you need to unlock before the game gets more playable. Problem is that it might take you forever to unlock anything due to constantly being attacked by just about everything.

The game is amazing, and I thought the older far cry games are stunning, which too me, it still does. But the improvements that the devs have done is awe struck. Can’t wait what they’ve got us in storeed for their upcoming release of Far Cry 5 this march.

for more than 2 weeks now i am trying to install it on my computer. and it simply crash on start each time.
for 2 weeks i am in contact with ubisoft tech support who try to help me work it out but so far no success.
for the little story. i do have a quad core xeon intel processor. titan X video card. win 10 64 mgb memory card. i run every game at 4 k resolution and never have a problem.
until this game.
now i cannot return it because its a digital download.
i guess i will never buy digital download again.
fair warning to every other customer out there.

I bought this game by mistake, had it in my cart when I was ordering something else. I wasn’t sure if I would like it, I love first person shooters. I have played most of the Far Cry series and loved all of them. This game actually blew me away. They graphics are amazing. The game play is actually very fun. The weapons are primitive, but very useful. The only thing I don’t care for are the movie scenes where I have to read the screen since I don’t speak Caveman language. On the other far cry’s I could listen to the movie scenes without having to look at the screen. So that is the only thing I didn’t care for. The game is amazing.

I know what all the criticisms of this game are, but I still enjoy it. I play on a Dell 30″ monitor driven by the Gigabyte GTX 970 Xtreme and with high settings and the game looks great. There is so much to do that you can’t really ever be bored and you can play through the linear mission if you just want to do that, but I would say to go for it and play through all the side stuff as well, because you will get so much more out of it. If you are a fan of the series I would highly recommend getting this card.

If your a fan of any of the other far cry games then you’ll definitely enjoy playing this one. All the same things I loved from the other games are here except you’re in prehistoric times and your weapons are limited to mostly close range. Besides of course the bow and arrows you use. I would say the only downside to this game is it’s all subtitled due to the fact the people you talk to are talking in another language. I really didn’t mind it because I personally watch a lot of subtitled movies but I understand that a lot of people aren’t really into it. Overall a great game and full of awesome side quests. Worth the money without a doubt.

Fun, beautiful, but it gets a bit tedious. I’ve only explored about half the map, but it’s kinda boring now. Since I have a sabertooth tiger companion, I don’t really have to be afraid of much, so it’s kind of like a Neolithic hiking simulator. Which is cool, I guess.
