This game has great potential and could be a great game but is ruined because of the horribly bad servers and it is extremely unfair. I enjoyed the beta very much but I bought the game only a month after it came out and everyone else is so much better than me, it makes it really hard to enjoy. The servers do not match equal players to each other. I am often matched with players 5× to 20× better than me, no joke. Every single match I play, the servers disconnect and have to reconnect which freezes the game and messes up the game play, this can happen about 3 times in a single match. Every time this happens it also kicks out a player or even yourself. Ubisoft are such stubborn jerks that they won’t even fix the unfair match making or the connectivity to the servers, they only updated it so you can earn more in game currency which doesn’t help much. Also can’t forget to mention you can only play the game online even if you want to play campaign mode, so if you don’t have Internet access then you can’t play the game at all. I want to like this game so badly because it is a great idea but ruined by the way they made it. I don’t think they’ll ever fix the servers or make equal player matches. Everything about this game is frustrating as hell and it makes it a bad game

The multi-player is extremely fun! You get to choose one faction out of three factions of Knights, Vikings, and Samurai to fight for, but before a match, you pick any faction you want to use. The characters range from Heavy, Assassin, and Hybrid characters. These characters have there own strengths, combos, feats, parries, etc. This game is simple to play, but still has plenty of skill to it in the combos you use to break an enemies shields. It feels like Lord of the Rings as I play the game mode dominion, similar to capture the flag in COD, but with 4v4 action on the maps, with minions (ground soldiers) fighting each other and blocking the barriers of the middle of each map. It is well worth the money and you’ll be hooked if you buy it, but in a good way!
Campaign is quite fun as well, same thing, but with bots, and more of a story of course.

I had to deduct a star because the game case is in a foreign language. Spanish or Portuguese. Maybe that’s why it was $35. I don’t know. But It’s not what was advertised. However, the game itself is in English so no worries there.
As far as the game play goes, I’m really enjoying it so far. The amount of content in the base game is shallow at this point, but it leaves room for further expansions down the road. The sound design and the graphics are really well done. Most of the combat animations are very realistic. And the combat itself is both challenging and rewarding. It’s not overly complex, but it’s not a button masher either. It’ll take some time and practice to get the hang of it. The story mode comes in handy here. While it’s not the most amazing single player experience ever, it’s more extensive than most multiplayer games these days.
But make no mistake that this is a multiplayer game at its core and it requires an internet connection even for the single player story mode. There is also plenty of stuff that you can unlock in the way of gear and cosmetic stuff. You can purchase this stuff with cash or just play the game to unlock it. Just don’t expect to have everything in the game unlocked right away. It’ll take awhile if you aren’t using cash, but that also means you have something to work towards. I recommend picking the character that appeals to you the most and focusing on it above all others for both unlocking rewards and honing your skill in battle.

I’ve been waiting for a game like this for a while, and I’m having a blast. Some people probably won’t like it because they don’t like the controls, or don’t want to learn how to master them. The graphics are great and gameplay is very fluid seem really good to me, except occasional network connection hiccup. I wouldn’t say the controls are difficult, but they can be challenging and make you think how to defeat your opponent with your attacks, blocks, and dodges to get out of the way. It’s an awesome feeling when you have little health left, yet outsmart your opponents attacks and defeat him.
There are 12 characters included. I haven’t played them all yet (focusing on a few for now), but they seem to have unique abilities and feel to each one. Supposedly they will release 6 more later with season pass. Of course it would be nice to have all characters included, but the original 12 seem like a good amount to start and more than enough to keep things interesting.
Can it be repetitive? Yes. But in reality, a lot of multiplayer games are repetitive, so that’s not really an argument not to buy the game. There are several different game modes to try. I didn’t think I would like duals/ brawls mode (1vs1 or 2vs2), but actually ended up enjoying these modes because you can focus on just your opponent.
I am enjoying the story mode (65% complete so far), but the game should not be bought only for this. Internet is required for all modes of the game. You can earn steel and other visual character customizations that can be used in multiplayer mode. Story mode is linear, but the graphics and scenery are gorgeous. The background music is awesome. The war drums in the Viking chapter were really awesome if you have your sound turned up (really made the experience).
There are some random bugs that pop up every once in a while, but a big deal as well as occasional network errors that have kicked me out of a game. Is the game perfect? No. Am I having a lot of fun playing it? Absolutely.
