Outstanding game. Has 3 One/Two player campaigns, multiple online multiplayer modes, and you are able to practice in a free mode-type setting, or even play the different modes against AI bots. Very addicting and re-playable game.Graphics are top notch and gameplay functions well. 3rd-person medieval melee with plenty of action; this game boasts an interesting blocking, countering, and attacking system that makes dueling against other
‘heroes’ intense.
Servers can be a bit shaky (Xbox One) from what I noticed so far; alot of times online multiplayer may have a “network error” and the match goes back to the menu screen. This is rare, but this can sometimes happen with peer to peer servers. Hopefully these issues will not persist. But as mentioned, there is plenty of Versus AI options and the game is just fun to play, simply put. I am a life long gamer and collector of ALL systems, and found this title to be very entertaining. Recommended.
I am a video game fanatic and have loved this game since I got it. Please feel free to ask any questions!
UPDATE 10/16/17: Game is still going strong. Servers have gotten a little better. Still a strong community. Don’t listen to people who blindly down-rate this game. I have been playing video games for 26 years running; this one is solid.
An honest and unpaid review,

I already traded this game back to Amazon, however, I feel its a pretty solid title if you the patience for both its learning curve and network issues.
Truthfully if I was 10 years younger and didn’t have a family I’d totally get way into this game. At it’s core For Honor is a paper rocks scissors fighting game / Team Combat competitive multiplayer game.
The characters are diverse and the levels very pretty. The combat really shines but I just don’t have time to learn it. The modes I liked the best were the modes least played.
1v1 is a really really fun mode but its the least used. So you aren’t going to find a ton of players
4v4 elimation is pretty great except you’ll likely run into a few 2v2 and 4 bot matches. Oh and bots are pretty flawless.
It takes forever to get into a match which isn’t much fun.
There are tons of microtransactions.
The special moves seem to be abused a bit too much.
Overall though the game IS fun. It IS worth playing. However, with so so many great games out there I Just don’t have the patience to stick with this one.
It’s unique and worth trying though!

This game gets a lot of flack for it’s servers and pay to progress antics but honestly I think those things aside this is such a great game. If you just play the game and do the challenges you can collect enough in-game currency to not really have to worry about buying in game currency through real world money. Ubisoft is also adding dedicated servers in the upcoming seasons so hopefully that will solve that problem as well. As for the gameplay I can’t really compare it to any other game. It’s got it’s own unique fighting style and it all feels very fresh and it’s super addictive. Every Hero in game plays different and you could literally spend forever learning how they all work but game after game it never gets old. The animations are all very solid and graphically this game really stands out. This is one I’m hoping they’ll realise a 4k patch for when the Xbox one x comes out. If you’re looking to potentially buy this game I think it’s worth a shot. Try not to think too much into everyone’s complaints and form your own opinion because if you don’t give this game a chance you’re really missing out.

First things first, this game is great, with great graphics, and diverse characters. You can play with 3 characters from the start, with the others being locked. However, its very easy to unlock characters, (about 20 minutes of playtime for each.) There are also other six other characters that cost a little bit more to unlock, but you do not need them. The game does a good job of supporting different play styles,
Like a fast attacker? = Peacekeeper
Like a tank? = Conqueror
Like easy characters = Warden
Like mixtures = Shaman or Aramusha
I also like the Latin, Norse, and Japanese that the characters say. (Ad Mortem! : To Death)
Campaign: Short missions that are more of a tutorial, with a little bit of story sprinkled in, but its fun to pass the time. You can play each “faction,” the Knights, The Vikings, and The Samurai. Each section consists of six missions, with each ending with a boss fight that is challenging but fun.
Multiplayer: Bad loading times, but matches are good. Dominion is pretty awful, i’ve had entire teams swarm me at once, and you may think. “why does it matter?” It matters because the game actually promotes “Honor” which consists of not double teaming, etc. The Duels and Brawls are my favorite, where people back off and usually don’t double team, and occasionally say “good fight.”
Offline stuff: Custom matches and Duels to get used to each character.
Good for Children: You can turn off blood and dismemberment, But its more satisfying with it on.
