I recently used the Valvoline SynPower SAE 75W-90 Full Synthetic Gear Oil for my 2017 Camaro’s rear differential, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The gear oil provides excellent protection and lubrication, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.

One of the standout features of this product is its full synthetic formulation. It is specifically designed to handle extreme conditions, which gives me confidence in its ability to protect my car’s differential under various driving situations. Whether I’m cruising on the highway or pushing the limits on a track day, this gear oil maintains its integrity and performance.

The 1-gallon container is also a great value, providing enough oil for multiple uses. The packaging is user-friendly, with a convenient spout that makes it easy to pour without any mess. Additionally, the clear labeling provides all the necessary information, including specifications and compatibility.

Overall, the Valvoline SynPower SAE 75W-90 Full Synthetic Gear Oil is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to maintain and enhance the performance of their vehicle’s differential. Its reliable protection and high-quality formulation make it a top-notch product that I would highly recommend to other Camaro owners or anyone needing a robust gear oil.

This is the correct differential fluid for my 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee diesel CRD Overland. It already contains the friction modifier. One jug will accommodate front and rear diffs with a little left over.

I was getting ready to add a trailer to my setup and need to increase the viscosity on my rear differential to match what was expected when towing to help with the extra heat.
I’ve pumped 75W/90 before and while pumping works, it’s just not very fun. With the viscosity increase, pumping was not something I wanted to do.

This squeeze bag was super simple to use and I didn’t spill a drop. I’ll never go back to pumping bottles if these bags are available.

Good brand and good price less expensive than the parts store at my time of purchase. The squeeze bag makes it 100% easier to get it into the differential and it also has the limited slip additive in it already so you don’t have to purchase another item. Delivered by Amazon and not leaking in the box happy happy

The product is great. It’s gear oil in a handy package for getting it up into a difficult spot. However, I bought 2 and opened the box on kitchen counter while the box was laying on its side and neatly sliced open one of them and suddenly had a gear oil mess in the kitchen, the garage and on the other items in the box! Seriously a bummer. Careful when opening!!

I had to replace the differential fluid and front transfer case fluid in the 2016 Toyota Rav Limited. The videos I watched to do this process showed it as an easy job. Most used a pump with a tube to fill the cases, but this flexible packaging was easy to fit right to the fill port without having to pump. I think I lost a couple ounces at the end of the package because I couldn’t squeeze it out, but it didn’t make much difference because I needed more than 1 and less than 2 to do both the front and rear sides so ended up with extra anyway. Overall, did the job well.

Wow has this stuff ever gone up in price since the last time I bought it,!!!!!!!
I’ve had no problems with my transfer case gears or my differentials ever, I change the oil every 3 to 4 years ,
Biggest surprise was the price, 4 years ago I paid $12.99 for one quart … now almost $30 smackers’s for the same …. Ouch !!!!!

I use this for all my vehicles and never had any issue. Especially if you are in cold climate, you’ll want the 75w type oil to keep the gears lubricated in extreme cold temperature.

I’ve used Valvoline sythentic oil in many applications for over forty years. Valvoline is a top notch A+ grade lubricant, not some cheapo over-hyped and over-rated snake oil.

I used this particular GL-5 rated sythetic (with limited slip additive) in a BMW E36, and it meets or exceeds all BMW requirements. Works great, and better protection than stock 75W-90 when driven hard, towing or in hot environments. Thanks to the limited slip additive, the pos-unit is smooth and gradual, not chattery. The limited slip additive is in the package, no extra costs or mixing required. NOTE: If you don’t HAVE limited slip, no problem. The Valvoline limited slip additive is harmless to non-posi differentials, so you can use it in either application without any concern.

Finally, a small but significant detail is that the Valvoline container style makes actually putting the lubricant into the rear axle of the BMW very very easy. No hoses or pumps required! Drain the old gear oil from the bottom port. Close it up and retorque the drain plug. Now, open up the top port and squirt the oil in with this squeeze style bottle. Retorque the fill nut, you’re done.

Works fantastic – didn’t spill a drop, and absolutely no hoses or pumps required. A simple no-nonsense solution to what can be a messy problem, and a GREAT synthetic gear oil from a real old-school oil company – one that actually operates real refineries. (unlike so many other snake-oil style gear oils and engine oils, which come from people who don’t own or operate actual refineries…I bet you didn’t know that, eh? HINT: BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Amsoil, Royal Purple, etc. do NOT refine anything. They SPECIFY, and then real refineries make their product for them.) Just personal taste, but I’d rather buy from the source, as opposed to a vendor who bought it for me (with markup included, of course – plus advertising and marketing)

Go Valvoline – you can’t go wrong.
