The device arrived charged and ready to go. The cost, for what the product does, is exemplary. My pup took little convincing and few treats to warm to the shaver. Start with the biggest included guard and go shorter as your skills increase and the comfort level of your dog increases.

I have always purchased Wahl clippers for my pets. After 20 years and numerous uses I wanted a cordless one. It makes cutting easier and works as well as my plug in clipper.

I don’t understand why there is so many bad reviews about this clipper. I bought a different one off Amazon which the battery died within 10 minutes and needed a charge, and the clipper wasn’t sharp. I thought I’d give this one a go. IT’S GREAT. I have a groodle and use it to trim between his paws, and his fur around his face, tummy and bottom. My only complaint would be that I’m looking for longer guide combs as I want one that’s 25mm for his main coat.

I bought some knock off brand dog clippers with lots of positive reviews BUT it could not cut through my puppies fur and kept getting snagged. I should have known to stick with a good name brand like WAHL.
These work great. no snags or pulling of fur. Cuts great.
Now if I can just get my dog to sit still like the videos on youtube 🙂

After two haircuts, it seems like a wonderful product that will require regular maintenance that does not include water like the images on the product page. Even though when you search for warranty here on the product page and the Alexa result is five years, the actual warranty is one year in the manual included with the product and also in the PDF. I had trouble figuring out how to remove the blades until I watched the video on the Wahl website, and taking a look at the other reviews I see other people had the same problem, so I made a video on how to do it. It’s very easy once you know how. I recommend getting an extra set of blades to keep on hand, and I’m waiting for Wahl to answer my email on which one is the replacement because this model number is not listed on their website, and I can’t find the model number of the replacement blades in the product information here or in the manual included with the product.

This is the first clippers that I purchased, so I don’t have anything to compare them to. That said, the plastic guides seemed flimsy and not very helpful when I tried to use them, but maybe I just don’t know how to use them. Our small dog started getting in her adult coat, it’s not thick, more like a cocker spaniel’s hair. I used the clippers on paws, belly, back & sides. I used layering scissors for the rest, and still after using these clippers just 3 times, I think this was going to be the 4th, the blades were dull & barely able to cut much of anything. And yes, I did regularly clean the blades & oil them. So much for the self sharpening blades. I tried to find replacement blades after the last trim and this recent attempt, but was unsuccessful. Even so, the closest looking replacement blade set that I did see (this model was not listed as compatible) was $14 which would mean it would cost 1/3 of the price of the clippers to buy replacement blades, so why throw more money after bad? I think I will start looking for a better long term pair of clippers that will not cost me $40 for so-so clippers that will be retired to a landfill after just 4 months of minimal use. If I can get clippers that actually go through my dogs hair like butter, without snagging, then it will have been worth it since I will be doing this 6 times a year for hopefully at the very least 15 more years.

This dog clippers work very well and are easy to use. Helpful do use to trim the dogs hair between professional cuttings or be able to use Totally for clipping the dogs hair.

I purchase same brand the 1st I purchaded is much stronger and heavy this new one is kinda weak. I’ll show you my pet hair cut ✂️ and the machine I have for over 13 years but still work. Just that is like old and making a noise my dog is afraid of the noise from the machine. My dog is the 1st photo
2nd photo is the new machine and the last one is the old one. Came with a case. Yes machine does not pick up well on thin hair. I purchased this on July 17 but will be returning it.

I needed a better quality pet groomer as the blades on my old one (crappy brand) broke and don’t have replacements, so I got this from a trusted brand and because they do sell replacements in case that happens again. The only downside is it’s much louder than the last pet buzzer I had. My cat tolerated the older one better because it was relatively low noise, however this one by Wahl is as loud as traditional men’s clippers and my cat can’t stand it. I’m going to have to get cat proof grooming gloves to keep using it on her 😞 😆

I have a great deal of experience with clippers since I worked my way to my Nursing degree with a cosmetology license. My grown daughter will still not allow anyone else to cut or color her hair! Lol.
I hadn’t clipped a dog or puppy in years, but these clippers did an awesome job with my Puszu puppy, who has the hair of a shitzu, very thick but hot in the Austin Texas heat!
I wanted a close clipper cut so I used the closest attachment, and the results were fabulous! I did use scissors and left the tail and ears long, but even clipped around the eyes (very carefully), because the fast growing hair tends to give these precious dogs eye infections and even corneal abrasions. I am not taking any chances with my baby!
I will be doing this again right before 3 months, so 4 times a year. It never gets truly cold here, so these clippers will be used well. The battery lasted for the complete cut, but I had to give my Gabriel a few breaks as this was his first hair cut. I rescued him, after I lost my miniature Dachshund of 15 years.
These are well worth the price and any novice should find them easy to use.
I recommend, watching the blades because the hair can really build up around the blades when clipping a dog with thick hair. It will make the clippers last, and assure efficiency while clipping.
I cleaned this area out frequently with the little attachment provided.
