I’ve groomed dogs for decades (I’ve always had poodles). Do I ever LOVE this trimmer. Zip and the feet, ears, and face are done. I do mean zip. Perfect size. Plenty powerful enough and then some. Not very loud (like a whisper compared with the Osters), and it doesn’t vibrate your hand into carpal tunnel. Fits quite nicely in the hand. A professional groomer showed this trimmer to me and highly recommended it, so I ordered one. The price is amazingly low. I’ve used it a total of maybe 90 minutes but had to leave a review because I’m so impressed. Where has this trimmer been all my life? (It runs on two “A” batteries and came with a pair of industrial strength batteries [not alkaline]. It zipped along all that time without losing battery power.)

The o my downside is it’s SUPER loud but as long as you kitty doesn’t get scared by loud noises like mine your good!! I got my cat use to haircuts since she was a kitten bec I found out I’m allergic to cats after I got her and she’s my first pet I could never get rid of her!! She acts like a dog! Meets me at the door when I come home and cuddles all day long!!
This is my second one of these. The first one I forgot to take the batteries out and the batteries exploded in the heat ruining the unit. Bought them again I liked them so much!

I bought this back in 2013 when my puppy(a morkie) was just about 4-6 months old. She just kept slipping on the floor so i knew i had to do something about her paw hair. Sure enough, this thing has been the best thing i could have purchased. Now, three years later blade still cuts some what but clearly needs sharpening or replacing. After searching for a new blade, found out it was cheaper to just get the whole thing than just the blade. Hopefully this second one is as durable as the old one.
Ps. For those that are worried about the noise, you cant just use this right away on any dog/puppy that is not used to it. This does make some noise but if you intruduce this slowly and increase the time cutting the hair slowly, it will get you to the point where they dont mind it at all.
1: turn it on, bring it close to your dog/pupp (slowly). Let them sniff/ get acquinted with it. Some dogs may need you to do this offten, if they are ok with it and dont run away scared… Continue to spep 2. If not.. Keep repeating this step until dog is confortable enough.
2: Once your dog gets confortable looking at it or resisting the noise near them, bring the opposite end of the trimmer to their bodies (again, slowly). Let them feel the vibration, just for a few sec…. Increase the time gradually. Praise your dog (treats or pet them), just let them know they are doing fine and its not something they need to be scared of. Keep calm while doing this. (Remember, if you are calm, he/she will not detect a threat from it.)
3: once you have mastered the above steps, you can start trying the trimmer on them. It may feel a bit weird for them and try to get away from it, but stop, let them take a breath and calm down a bit before continuing. Do one paw, let them rest, pet them/praise them and then continue. They might also retreat their paws while you work on them but, just talk to them calmly and keep going.
These steps might get tedious but before you know it your pet will fall asleep while you work on them. lol 😉

I bought this to use on my long haired cat. I like to keep a “potty patch” on her to help keep her clean since she is not a good self groomer. These clippers do not cut through her long hair. They work fine on her paw pads, though I wish they were quieter because the noise seems to bother my cat the most.

Nice size but don’t cut well, Very noisy. Dog won’t let me near

I love writing good reviews and am never harsh when it comes to reviewing products, but I cannot believe this thing has any good reviews whatsoever. It’s completely and entirely useless. I have a little Maine Coon mix type of cat and I bought this to help her keep the hair around her rear end a little shorter and easier for her to clean. It doesn’t even work. It just makes a bunch of noise and occasionally pulls a hair out or two. And she has super fine soft hair that shouldn’t be a problem at all. She was so pissed at me for using this thing on her. What a piece of junk and total waste of money. NOT TO MENTION the batteries it came with started to die after that first horrible, short and pointless attempt at using this trimmer.

I got this primairly for the feet of my small dogs, a Malti-poo and a Yorkipoo, and for that purpose it is working just fine. Neither really minds it much when I clean up the pads and I feel much safer with it than I did with scissors. For fun I tried putting the guides on and grooming the legs and bodies of the dogs, it actually worked alright on the finer hair of the Yorkipoo. Unfortunately the Malti-poo’s hair is much thicker and it just gets caught in the guards so it stops working very quicking. But since it does what I got it for and it isnt too loud to fighten the dogs I am a fan.

My older husky has chronic perianal adenomas (oozing sores around the rear end) not able to be removed surgically due to other health issues. I’ve been able to keep the mess to a minimum by using this trimmer to minimize hair back there. It cuts through even thick husky hair if you don’t use the attachments. It does clog quickly, but that’s to be expected because it’s small. You can control how much or little hair you remove. I hate close shaves on my dog because it irritates his skin, so I just use a gentle sweeping motion (I don’t push hard against the skin) with this and can stop when I’ve removed as much hair as I want.
It’s a little noisy, but it’s also cordless so I consider that a fair trade. Despite the noise, it doesn’t vibrate excessively, which means pup isn’t bothered by it. If you use on wet or very thick/longer hair it will clog up very quickly, so either get something more powerful or wear a glove so you can quickly clear it of hair after a couple passes. Great for trimming small areas!
