Some of the bolts are a bit tricky to access, but installation wasn’t too hard. I think they look a lot better than the stock Sahara sidesteps. They are a solid build and the steps are a good size and really well positioned if you have a roof rack and need to move things around up there.

Great product, and they look fantastic on the Wrangler. The only issue I had were three of the brackets were coded incorrectly. They had D’s on the passenger side support brackets and P’s on the driver side support brackets. All other brackets were labeled correctly.

The product itself is awesome, the look and quality is great. I would easily give this a 5 star review of the installation instructions were better. The pictures were confusing, mislabeled equipment in terms of what number goes to which piece (M8 vs M6 pieces, had to Google them to find out which ones were which), that being said I figured it out after some time.
Overall, if they were to fix the instructions to be more defined on what pieces to install when, I would highly recommend the product. Install time was about 2.5 hours due to incorrect placement and having to take everything apart and move around until they fit. Maybe add a short install video on the website?

I was looking for a Step Rail for my Jeep that would be functional and aesthetically pleasing. After installing them and adjusting the fit to be snug against the weld fold they look great. The extra width on the steps give good purchase for entry and egress and allow for easier removal of the Freedom Tops and setup of my JTops Sunscreen. (Highly recommended as well) The Textured Black color matches up well with the factory fenders and accents as well as hide the fold weld and complete the look of the Jeep’s lower side.

Delivery: Purchased Monday, delivered Tuesday. Clean Packaging with all the parts and instructions.
Installation: 3 hrs. 1 Person. The installation instructions are serviceable for the DIY’er and after a few reviews of the instructions and laying out the parts, it all makes sense. There are also a few YouTube How To’s you can view to help you out if needed.
Off-road Functionality: Untested (Slight concern with steps interfering with some Rock Climbing situations but expected due to the shape of the rails)

These Nerf Step Bars meet expectations and I’m very happy with them. They are well constructed, sturdy, and bolt up perfectly. The fit and finish are beautiful with minimal gap and tight tolerance to the Jeep body. Install is fairly easy and I was able to do it alone.
There is one challenge with install that is easy to overcome. The instructions for how to assemble the various mounting brackets, and the pictures included, are unclear and very difficult to decipher. The very easy solution is YouTube. There are plenty of videos of this install with clear instructions.
I love the look of this product and am very happy with the quality and fit.

They look really good. I bought 2 sets of these. My best friend and i bought new jeeps and thought these would be easy enough to install ourselves. Reading the reviews, we knew it wouldnt be easy, since people complained about the instructions and labeling. They were right. First off. 2 boxes of the same rails were completely different. One box had label stickers on the parts and one did not. One box came with all the proper nuts/bolts/washers. Another box came with half of the washers that were the wrong size and none of a whole set of small bolts. So we were only able to put one set on this weekend. Ive written westen an email to send the bolts to complete the installation on my friends jeep but have yet to recieve a response. Ill change my review and star rating according to how westin handles this situation.
The picture i included is a picture of my jeep with the newly installed westin step rail. A friend soon after my social media post sent a picture of their westin rails after only 8 months of owning them. After a few inquiries on several social media jeep sites, its been concluded that the powder coating wasnt done properly but no answers on how to fix this if it happens to me. Just painting it, re-powder coat or rhino line it. All these options would work but the fact i have to do this additional work to rails that cost this much is absurd. I love the look but the quality is questionable at best. Questionable from the instructions to the life of the product. Depending on how they handle this situation, i may never buy another westin product again. I have no problem paying top dollar for top quality. But top dollar for poor quality is unacceptable. Lastly, we had a custom shop do almost all the work to our jeeps. We purposely chose this project to do ourselves bc we thought itd be something fun to do on a sunday with a few beers between old friends with new toys but it turned into a pretty long and frustrating day.

They were easy to install on my 4 door 2020 jeep wrangler. Easy for one person to install, very strong and they Look Great.

My only issue with this item was the instructions. It was horrid. I’m mechanically inclined. I made reference to “items in box (front, mid and rear bracket)” and took it upon myself to figure things out. Why would you have a close up sketch whereas its damn near impossible to make reference to anything? Smh. Figured it out nonetheless and it looks really good on the jeep

These are the best looking steps out there for the new JL in my opinion. They look perfect. The overall stability once installed is good. What isn’t good is the paint which was already flaking off right out of the box. I included a pic from one of the hangers, but more came off during install. Speaking of which this installation is a one person job, but do yourself a favor and test fit the bolts. The bad paint job is also in the female threads in some spots which leads to a ton of frustration and cross threading. So… Looks good but the long term will be questionable. Get a shop to install and if you do diy…use a wire brush to clean out the feamale threads and be careful not to help the paint come off more

Love the look of these steps on my 2020 jeep Willy’s. Instructions are a little hard to follow, but once you do 1 side the next side goes on pretty quick. Overall great product. Looks and feels durable.
