I bought these a while back because I love the brand (Wirefy). I finally got around to using them yesterday on a thermo-fuse that needed to be marine sealed. This product works so great. It shrinks uniformly and you can see the glue-paste push out at the end to verify the waterproof connection. It also shrinks quickly and you’re not standing around with the heatgun on for 5 minutes+.
So, I compared this to the stuff you get at harbor freight, and it’s like night and day. The cost difference isn’t that much, and I feel like it’s a waste of time trying to use cheaper stuff compared to this.

Nach dem Schrumpfen fรผhlt sich der Schlauch etwas klebrig an, verschwindet mit der Zeit wieder. Die Transparenz bleibt erhalten.
Die verschieden Durchmesser im Sortiment decken bestimmt einen groรen Bereich ab. So konnte ich mit dem grรถรten Schlauchteil direkt ein komplettes Element geschรผtzt einpacken. Dennoch hรคtte ich mir fรผr wirklich dรผnne Kabeladern (Modellbaubereich) ein noch dรผnneren Schrumpfschlauch gewรผnscht. Bin dennoch zufrieden.

Great quality in terms of product performance, but this kit should have a LOT more commonly used sizes of heat shrink tubing. I am finding that the 3/3″ size is most commonly used for electronics cables which have buckled & frayed such as charging cables for phones, tablets, computers etc. The sizes below that I can see being pretty much useless, to be honest. The sizes above 3/8″ I can see using for things like power tool cords and home appliance cords. So I give it 2 stars when it comes to VALUE FOR MONEY’. You’ll wind up not using at least half the kit, in my opinion.
I have found that you can layer this stuff up, one over the other, if you want some really tough reinforcement. It does get stiffer when doing this, so loses flexibility, but it works very well for this purpose. Let the first layer of heat shrink tubing cool completely, then slide another one over top. Hold the heat gun further away from the surface of the tubing, heating the new layer slowly so that they layer underneath doesn’t shrink more than you intended it to. Start at one end of the tubing & slowly move down its length. I am finding the slower you go with this stuff, the lower heat setting used on a heat gun, the better. Start at one end as well & get that completely sealed first, then move down the length of tubing. You get a more precise shrink that way.
Adheres really well to anything I have used it on. Shrinks very well for a super tight fit. I can see myself using this product for multiple purposes, and the case can always be reused, although those clips that snap it shut are a tad dodgy. FWIW.

Great product for the price! This set will last you a while with 275 pieces. are use this product for DC wiring in a vehicle, and I was really surprised with the quality of the product compared to similar shrink tubing I got from the automotive store. The real difference was the thickness of the rubber and the fact that there it was adhesive lined, which created a weatherproof, and essentially watertight seal, which will illuminate oxidation and corrosion, which could cause a short circuit in the future. The tubing will shrink when you heat it, and that he sieve will melt and create a very tight and strong seal. I was actually surprised with the quality of the seal. this is not an endorsement but I would highly recommend this product if you’re looking for shrink tubing that only you issue percent is that a lot of the sizes are similar but the sizes are listed so you know exactly what you’re getting it’s just a lot of shrink tubing so it would be nice if there’s a few different larger sizes, but the variety was good for the application of stranded wires, I was able to crimp the wires after sliding the shrink tubing on one end of the wires, once the wires was crimped I was able to slide the shrink tubing over the crimp and heat it up slowly with a small torch from about 5 to 6 inches away, as it shrinks after heated, the adhesive begins to melt and creates a very strong seal, I have use this product over a year ago and it’s still standing strong. This is nice heat shrink for motorsport/swap harnesses. I started using it then switched to more expensive name brand heat shrink because that was what the videos recommended. The more expensive brand is mostly just sitting on the shelf. There wasn’t enough difference in use to be concerned about. This Wirefly brand heat shrink is nice for the price, even for people that are picky about their harness, I use a lot of it.
