Alpine Plume –
Still made s well as years ago.
Good craftsmanship and components.
Keeps time perfectly and matches my baby Grand too !

I got the wood version. It looks nice, but it is made from cheap wood and the movement looks and sounds like a cheap import. It isn’t bad, but it isn’t great either. This has the same old mechanism as the metronome my family had 30 years ago. I am dumb founded that this costs $100. I would expect $10-$20. Where’s the competition? I doubt it costs more than $5 dollars to make. Someone is making a killing off this.
I gave it three stars because the product is ok. The wood finish looks fine, it just doesn’t feel fine nor does it operate smoothly like a $100 product should. I haven’t seen the plastic version, but it costs like $50 and is possibly even more of a rip-off.

I bought this as a gift for my husband who teaches guitar lessons. He loves playing with it. It’s well built, pretty, and gives a very loud ticking sound that it loud enough to be heard over the instrument.

Theresa –
Very disappointed… the description was a bit misleading this metronome casing is PLASTIC… and does not look like wood (no matter what planet or country you are from).
Overpriced!!
A. Lindgren –
Very happy with this purchase as it was a gift to my boss. He loved it! It is made of true wood in a black finish which looks very stylish and not cheap! Would recommend for the piano player in your life that maybe has a hard time keeping time! No problems at all with the company or with shipping either!
P. Laurent –

Unfortunately it is not what i was hoping for when I read it was made of wood.It is such cheap quality wood,it would probably be better if the metronome was made of plastic instead. The base is made of plastic and the metronome feels flimsy and looks cheap .The label might say it’s made in Germany but it looks like made in China.I can’t be bothered to return it and search for another one but this metronome is definitely not worth the price.Let’s hope it at least last long and works well.

Other than the fact that I ordered the MM without the bell and they sent me the one with the bell, it will work just fine. I got so tired of having digital and battery operated MMs break (I’m a piano teacher so these get a tremendous amount of use). My last wind-up MM, a Wittner penguin, lasted for 10 years so I’m hoping to get at least 10 out of this one. The wood case is not the hardwood they used to use, it’s a light-weight wood, not as high quality. They just don’t make them like they used to.
