I really like the digital piano as I expected: the colour, the tone quality as well as the way it sounds when played. But the delivery was not what I expected. I live in a condo and they just left the big package in the elevator…. It would have been better if it was delivered to my door.

The digital piano was exactly as we expected. It is beautiful and sounds great. The seller was wonderful and easy to work with. We had problems with UPS attempting to deliver it to the wrong address. UPS customer service wouldnโt work with us. Thankfully Amazon and the seller both worked hard to make sure we could get the digital piano in a reasonable timeframe, despite UPS failing to deliver to the correct address.

Yamaha pianos are pricey for sure, even their digital brands. But we all know why. And I’m not disappointed at all. I purchased the Rosewood digital version, and it arrived promptly in a few days. Big package and heavy, even for the UPS driver. The unit was extremely well packaged, no damage at all, and all the parts were there. Some assembly is required but it’s really simple and straightforward. The only trouble I had, assembly it alone, was how heavy the main section piece (the piano keys assemblage itself) was, so be careful lifting it if you’re doing it alone. Optimal is placing the main part of the YDP with someone else helping out.
Once assembled the Rosewood is beautiful. Yeah, it’s not a 80K grand piano build, but for what you are paying instead I find it fits the bill. The real value of this baby, however, is under the hood. Literally to, since one of the nicest features of this YDP is a sliding cover on the keyboard, and it is very smooth and slides just like a regular piano over the keys. The keys themselves, are high quality, and again, no difference really from an actual piano – including weight, touch etc.
But like I said, the real value – where all the money is going is “under the hood”. Once I plugged it in and listened to it – and played it for my first time. Wow. Like, this is about as close to a Yamaha grand piano you’ll ever get inside your home. And you can even wear headphones while playing on your grand piano. The sound from this YDP is incredibly authentic – you really actually do feel like you’re playing on the real thing. So, it’s money well spent if you’re serious about your piano playing and can’t afford or have room for a grand piano inside your house. I’m a happy camper. Haven’t even tried out all the extra features that come with the unit, though I did decide to go with this YDP-165 model as I didn’t need so many extra bells and whistles as the more expensive 184 has. But the 165 still comes with the computer App you can plug into the piano using USB, and has a number of useful other sounds including Organ. Also has a built in metronome and quite a few other features (as you probably already have read about.)
No complaints. Worth the investment. Recommend! It’s Yamaha right!

Som muito bom , atendeu minhas expectativas.

Since no offer by either Amazon or Yahama offered help in constructing this upright piano, and since the total piano weight of 150 lbs was well beyond my lifting ability, assenbling the piano was hugly challenging. But I did finally manage to surmount this barrier and have the piano to play.
It is truly wonderful! I play it every day. The sound, the key board, the foot pedals, and potential accompaniaments of various other musical instruments is simply outstanding. I believer me – I come from a musical famly and have played the piano all my life — I’m not easily pleased.

Let me start by saying that my journey with the Yamaha YDPS55 Arius Series Slim Digital Console Piano was a bit rocky, as I had to purchase it twice due to the first unit being defective. Dealing with Amazon and Yamaha to get the replacement was a bit of a hassle, but eventually, it got resolved…
Now, onto the piano itself. In terms of aesthetics, the white color of the YDPS55 is simply elegant and stunning. It stands out beautifully against my black furniture and always get compliments on the color.
Despite my minor gripe about the lack of a bench considering the hefty price tag of almost $1,800, the performance of this piano is exceptional. The sound quality is excellent, and as someone accustomed to playing on a real piano, I can attest that the GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) action makes a significant difference. It provides a more authentic playing experience compared to the S35 model, justifying the $400 price difference between the two models.
If you’re looking for a digital piano that not only looks great but also sounds fantastic and feels like the real deal, this one is definitely worth considering.

It has great sound for an electric piano. And the wood is beautiful; I have the dark rosewood and love it.
Co&Be –
I started piano and music lessons when I was 7 years old. There came a moment when I was playing Beethoven Sonatas, many Chopin etudes, including the challenging black-keys etude and a large variety of important piano works. At 20 years of age, for several reasons, I finally made the decision to quit. I got involved in other important projects and I gradually left the piano behind. I had been told I was a talented pianist and had been adviced to move to Europe, something I was reluctant to do. To me, it was a matter of all or nothing and I chose nothing.
Now, one thousand years later I made the decision to buy a digital piano. I never expect to go back to my previous advanced level but I armed myself with Oscar Beringer technical studies which, in the remote past, worked wonderfully for me.
I thought buying this digital Yamaha piano would be a good idea. Was I right!!. This piano is beautiful and the sound reminds me of the excellent pianos I used to play on. I also got Yamaha headphones for privacy, the kind of privacy I never had when playing an acoustic piano. I also got sheet music covering Bach, Brahms, Debussy, Chopin, Profoviev and, -new to me,- Gershwin. I know this piano will do a masterful job never mind whose works I decide to play and I am now enjoying reading new piano works and being my own teacher.
The piano feels solid and well built and has a beautiful matte black finish that will look classy anywhere. I am in love with this Yamaha piano and I know we will share great moments together. Thank you, Yamaha!
