Solid hardware. Don’t know why more companies offer light in weight drum hardware. highly recommend. Also bag is generous in size making room for drum pedal etc.

First and foremost, the cymbal stands are awesome. Incredibly light-weight and very sturdy. I actually thought I’d have more of an issue with the cymbal stands, since they are not booms, but I configured the positions to work fine. The Snare stand does well, but it wobbles a bit (using a 13×7 snare). The hi-hat is the issue: this one took a ton of weight out of my bag (my HD Tama one weighs 5x the Crosstown), but the tension is just not what I’m used to. I’ve played this out for two months now and I needed to switch to a standard light weight Yamaha stand to at least get the action I need. The Crosstown stand just doesn’t open and close with the accuracy I desire. Still, the package saves my back some effort!

No pesan nada, las puedo llevar a cualquier lado sin cargar tanto, llevo adicional 2 atriles DW6000, son super estables, no se mueven y el material a pesar de ser ligero se siente de gran calidad, y al ser de aluminio, te evitas el oxido.

I ordered this as a sort of trial to see what these lightweight stands are all about and I mostly like it. Depending on your level of particularness, it may or may not be for you.

-It’s definitely extremely light and that’s really cool if you, like me, are trying to lighten up your gig bags.

-It’s definitely sturdy enough for regular gigging including rock stuff. However, I did feel like I needed to expand the legs wider than usual to make it feel as stable as I’d like. I’m using a heavy Black Beauty snare with it, so your mileage may vary here depending on your snare. That said, so far I have not had any tipping or movement issues with it at gigs.

-Although I haven’t used it in a gig setting, it does go high enough to mount a rack tom and I suspect it would perform fine doing that, but again that base would have to be set pretty wide.

-The biggest downside is, if you’re used to using a snare stand where the basket can move in and out separate from the rest of the stand (like a lot of DW stands), you’ll find yourself battling with your set-up a bit. It’s been awhile since I’ve used a straight up no frills snare stand and it took some work getting it situated the way I like it. I’d find I couldn’t position some other stand (tom, cymbal, etc) quite the way I was used to. But it wasn’t a huge deal, just something to be aware of. If you’re a double-kick player, I would look elsewhere because it will likely give you some positioning issues.

Overall, I would recommend it. If you can deal with the lack of the nuanced adjustments you find in more expensive stands, it will work just fine. Would I take this on a tour with a metal band or something – no I would not. For the weekend warrior, it’s perfectly acceptable.

Ok, so I’m a touring drummer that usually uses a rack system, but when I’m doing in town gigs I hated taking my 150llb hardware bag . Totally sucked I’m in my 50’s can’t lug that crap around anymore. So I did my research and bought these. I could have gotten them straight from yamaha butI didn’t want to wait till the end of june. I guess there very popular because my guy at yamaha said they were back ordered. Anyway, just used them on a gig this weekend. I was totally impressed. I actually like the hi hat stand better than my touring one. The stand are awesome. Very sturdy. Trust me I was trying to knock one over all night LOL drummers !! I think they are awesome. Took my back from 150lbs with the exact same gear to 20lbs. AWESOME

These are amazing. I can now move my entire drum set from my car to a gig in 2 trips because my hardware takes up about 1/2 the space and 1/4 the weight that it used to. I can carry this in one hand or wear it on my back. There is a little extra room in the bag, so I can fit my throne stand and tom tom mount in there too. At some point I plan to buy another Yamaha Crosstown cymbal stand, and it will fit in their too. Each stand has an individual sleeve within the bag so that they don’t knock together, so my stands are not all scratched up. Everything folds down nice and compact with nothing sticking out, so the bag should last a long time too. The hi-hat stand is especially impressive with the way the pedal folds up under the legs so that it won’t puncture anything or get bent or broken. If you need a standard drum kit setup with light weight and a small footprint, this is the way to go. The quality and convenience are worth the price.

Super sturdy, super lightweight hardware. Now if I could just get my Roc n Soc throne to lose some weight…

I played my first gig with my new Yamaha Crosstown hardware last night and I could not be more pleased. I’m in a cover band that plays approximately 25 gigs a year and I’ve been hauling around about 80 pounds of hardware for the last ten years, and I’m not getting any younger. I decided that I needed to streamline my load out so the Yamaha Crosstown hardware seemed like the logical choice. When the switch was complete, I had shed 46 pounds from my rig!!! At 1:30 AM, during load out…….that’s a LOT!! So much thought and attention to detail went into this hardware. My band mates were amazed at how light the stands were and they held up great, rock solid for a two and a half hour gig. Thank you Yamaha!!!

I went from double braced; heavy metal stands to single braced stands as I’m getting older and carrying heavy gear to gigs. Now I have all the hardware in a lightweight bag. What a difference! This stuff doesn’t sacrifice durability. The only thing you won’t have are cymbal booms. I’ve been mounting the ride off the tom mount on the bass drum so these work just fine.

Save your back, never look back.
    Absolutely high-end through and through.
Would’ve paid 100 bucks more for a cymbal giraffe tho; wish it was available.
The hi-hat stand being dual-chain is ridiculous.
The snare stand is the smoothest I’ve ever used (for the record I have rolled with DW9000 and Pearl and Tama high-end hardware).
