I love this item. It’s my 3rd one; but 1st one of this hue. I’ve always purchased black. I must admit the hinge is fragile on the black. Let’s see how long this one last. I’m going to purchase a few more just in case. The backlit is especially ideal for me because I’m visually impaired. Thank you Zagg

Product worked great. Battery lasts for weeks with the amount of use I do, and it is a tough case. It fell off my car a few weeks back with me going around a corner at 45mph and it barely had a scratch on it and still works perfectly. All the buttons and opening line up well and the iPad is held in place firmly. I like the fact it opens and stays that way vs having it propped up. This allows it to be used at any angle and is much more stable

Love this case but they HAVE to do something about the hinge. I have had 3 of them now and all of them have broken. My husband got one a year ago and just yesterday his hinge broke, too. If you can handle having them break about every year – they are great!

Update after buying my second keyboard – My first keyboard that I paid $99 for lasted all of 9 months. My second keyboard that I paid $40 for lasted 4 months. I love the concept of this keyboard but the hinge quality stinks. Each broke in different ways, but both broke at the hinge. One could say that at $10/month I stil got good value, but it’s the hassle that goes with having to reorder it and the waste. I’m going to give up on this Zagg case. This is the first Zagg product I’ve not been happy with, so it’s not Zagg, it is clearly the manufacturing.
Update – After using this for 8 months, I’d like to update my comments. The keyboard hinge seems to be wearing out. It is really loose and the iPad flops back to an uncomfortable position. The battery definately doesn’t last two years. I’m getting about three weeks out of a charge. Still not shabby. This flopping around is driving me crazy though!
First Review – Loving this so far. The booklet said the keyboard battery will last up to two years once charged. If that’s really true it will be amazing! Can’t wait to see what happens. I love the feel of the rubberized exterior. It gives a good grip without adding alot of weight. My only wish is to have a backlit keyboard. All in all it is a great case for my ipad!

This is my 3rd Zagg case. I really, really like them, BUT…the hinge is terrible! My first one lasted almost a year…there it broke so I complained and they send me a new one. It lasted about 9 months and the hinge did the same, exact thing…it broke! But, since I like this case, I bought a 3rd one. Guess what…the hinge is going bad now after just 6 months! I wish they could correct this hinge problem because other than that, they are great.

Very well constructed product. Slightly heavier than anticipated. Ipad fits perfectly with a tight fit. Take a few seconds to auto reconnect wifi each time, but once connected works fine. Product is well built and durable. I love it. Connection opening for charger could be slightly larger as you have to wiggle cords to properly insert each time. Thanks.

Loved it, but it cracked, and then fell apart within 6 months. I told amazon this is not acceptable, and am in the process of returning. I may even buy another one once they refund the money. I’m hopeful the next one won’t fall apart as quickly. Super long battery life (one month) on the keyboard.

I love this and still use it over a year later. The keyboard is very responsive and a good size for my hands. The keys have good “bounce” and are easy to use. Little raised bits on F and J help you quickly find your finger positioning. I tried several versions in the store to compare keyboards and this was the one that felt best to me. The case is also very sturdy and does a great job protecting my ipad. Very happy I bought this.

The product is nice – but I cannot give any comment on whether it will last because I am returning it already! I specifically bought this because it was supposed to have backlit keys. The box even says “backlit keys”, but alas- this is not so. (There were reviews that said to buy the model with a lighbulb on the arrow key – which I did, but it still doesn’t light up the keys).
The case itself is nice, the keyboard works well. It does make the ipad very heavy though – which sorta destroyed the purpose of buying the ipad air in the first place. I called Zagg, and the rep was surprised that the box even said backlit keyboard because he said I was describing the color folio (which this is) – and that never had backlit keys! They don’t sell the folio anymore (perhaps due to the cracked hinges in all these reviews). he is replacing it with the newer slim case which is back lit and supposedly lighter too. Reviews also cast doubt on the durability, so we’ll see how that holds up.

Love it! The case arrived on time and it works well. I had no trouble pairing the case to the Bluetooth. The red color is beautiful. This is the second case I purchased and Zagg did it again.
However, when I tried to use the backlit keyboard it was not available. I reached out to the company and they worked to resolve the issue quickly. Great customer service.

This keyboard is great. It was so easy to install, has great features. It also showed up with just over 50% charge. Did not rate durability because i just got it. Will update in a few months after I’m done school where it will be heavily used.
