    Great at explaining discipline and how to apply it in ways that improve your life all-around. I think everything he talked about was very important, even the part where he goes over martial arts. I also like that the author uses very blunt and direct wording. The perspective is geared more towards men but, if youโ€™re a woman you can easily just do the opposite of whatever advice he gives to males specifically. His punctuation is very off, which is pretty annoying but not at all confusing to read for me personally.

    This book is short and had nothing new, or all that creative, in it. There is 20 pages on the different types of martial arts that could easily be found with a Google search. For me, this purchase was a disappointment but I will find someone to gift it to that will need it.

    There is some really good information in this book that I have been chewing on since I finished reading it. So much so that I have actually started to make some positive changes in my life. This despite all of the typos/spelling, syntax errors which normally would have me turned off of a book so as not to take it seriously.

    I am very satisfied with this book and how it allowed me to understand my faults and what I do that stops me for gaining self discipline. After reading this book and I now have a better understanding and drive of what I need to do to accomplish more in my life and gaining said self discipline. I recommend it to every man who feel they are stuck in the same position and want more or even have goal they want to achieve. Great read.

    I haven’t finished it yet, but it is motivating to read the words and be reminded that only YOU are in charge of your life, and the only real way to achieve that is Self Discipline…
    I normally come up with excuses, (like above I would’ve complained that I’m a slow reader), but reading about others who don’t even bother explaining themselves (because they’re too busy owning their lives), helps me remember that not every little detail matters, and to just get back at what it is I want to see of myself before I die…
    (True, not the best grammar used here, but it’s the thought that counts.. I’m kind of used to seeing bad grammar by now..)
    The Lone Warrior on the cover is an inspiration of its own, a reminder that it’s up to YOU and no one else to get it done, so I like to keep this at the top of my stack of books, and I get a little “boost” of motivation every time I glance over at it again…
    I’ll be honest, I haven’t read a lot of things but if the world were coming to an end (by aliens or zombies ๐Ÿ˜‰ , and I could stuff one book in my bag before going to hide in the shadows (for when the technology dies), it would probably be this one for a morale booster, to remember that even in the most challenging circumstances, You still control your mind and how you react to anything that happens around you…
    (I almost wish the best parts came in a pocket size book, with this same cover, for on-the-go use..!)

    Mr. Winters helped me see that I was moving forward when I thought I was dead-in-the-water. However, he also helped me realize that by not having complete Self-discipline in ALL areas of my life; I was hindering myself.
    But I’ve always known that by not having ‘A vision’, ‘A defined purpose’, etc. I cannot define goals – big or small – towards reaching it.
    And Mr. Winters may not have helped me discover it; but he helped me understand Self-discipline’s important role in moving forward … as he says, (and others too) small successes will combine into bigger successes.

    So, goal #1: start applying Self-discipline to all areas of my life
    in order to prepare for defining and begin working towards ‘my obsession’.

    Thank you sir for your dedication to writing this informative book.

    If you are struggling with self discipline this is the book for you. I struggle with self discipline and always staying in my comfort zone, but this book has taught me if you constantly stay in your comfort zone you will never be successful. I highly recommend this book for people who are struggling with anxiety/depression and self discipline, and trying to find an outlet to overcome those obstacles.

    Never has a book so easily influenced the way I think and look at situations. This book has litteraly changed my life. Self-Discipline is so important and I never really understood how consistentcy and perseverance could make you so mentally strong. This book has taught me how to stop over thinking, to always look at the bright side, and to just simply keep moving forward. If you need to get back on track or need some sort of stucture in your life, this is the book for you. I highly recommend ๐Ÿ™‚
